May I wish all the Dads here today a Happy Fathers Day! The impact of a Godly Dad on the life of their family cannot be understated. Along with this, the impact of a Godly Man on the life of his church and community cannot be understated. Not everyone grew up or is growing up with a Dad in the home. That is where the men of the Church need to step up and be the examples that our children and youth can follow. I know this because I speak from experience. I challenge every man here today to be the Man of God that God has called him to be and to seek to be the witness that all can look upon and want to copy. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL BEGINS TOMORROW! YOU can still be a part of this exciting event by bringing your children, grandchildren and neighbors to VBS. You can also be a part by coming and volunteering where needed for a day or for the week. It is always a joy to hear my sons on the phone or in person saying Hi, Dad! The joy comes from knowing that my Heavenly Father had a great amount of input into the upbringing of my boys, from an early age to the present. I tried to make a conscious effort to remind them of who their earthly family was, but more importantly, who their Creator and Sustainer is. They follow the Lord faithfully today, and that gives Dian and me a great deal of peace and satisfaction. We received a call from our oldest son, Joel, who is married and lives in Jacksonville, Florida. His wife, Emily, is the daughter of a Baptist Pastor in Florida., and they are active in their church. Joel called to tell us that he and Emily are expecting our first grand-child some time at the end of January to early February. Mrs. Art is beside herself and her husband is not too far behind. Ask her about it, if you have an extra hour or so! All children and grandchildren are special to us and God. Remember to bring as many as you can to VBS this week so the Word of God can begin speaking to them. Art

Daniel Dunlap at Nicholson Baptist Church and Ben Smith at Trinity Baptist Church of Danielsville will be leading their youth groups on a mission trip to Bainbridge to work at the Friendship House during the week of June 24-29. Any individual or group willing to help provide meals for them is asked to call Clair Dunlap or the Church Office. Lunch is needed Monday through Thursday and will be served in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church. WHATS UP Just a reminder that those in the Youth Group that signed up to help in VBS be here at 8:45 AM Monday. Meet in the Library to get your assigned group that you will be helping with. Brian

June 24th-Youth Led Service PATRIOTIC CELEBRATION Mark your calendars on Sunday, July 1st for the Fourth Annual Patriotic Celebration. We will be joining choirs from Fellowship Baptist, Calvary Baptist and Morningside Baptist Churches for this awesome celebration of God and Country. The program will be presented at 5:00 PM in the sanctuary of Calvary Baptist Church. A bonus rehearsal for all singers will be in our Sanctuary this afternoon at 5:30 PM. Join us!
