BOB TEAGUE While this article focuses on the
TCM engine offerings, we of course need to start
with some background on Bob Teague himself.
Over the last 40 years, Bob has been involved in
every aspect of performance boating. In addition
to building engines, Bob is a professional racer

in OSS (Offshore Super Series) where he is on
the Board of Directors.
Bob is also an avid recreational boater,
sponsoring and attending many boating events
across the country. Bob and his family can be
found at many of the major West Coast events,
typically at the front of the pack! We can safely
say that Bob has more seat time, in more boats,
than anyone else - considering that he is the
Boat Test Guru for Powerboat Magazine. Bob
has seen and done it all.
For those of you who have met Bob, it will
come as no surprise that he was an Army Drill
Sergeant, and served time in Vietnam. Bob was
also a Captain in the Los Angeles Fire Department
for many years. Clearly Bob is a ‘hands-on’ type
of guy who likes the tough challenges in life,

he is a walking encyclopedia of boating knowledge.
In addition to the TCM brand product line of
custom parts and accessories, TCM is one of the
largest marine parts distributors in the country. With
an estimated ten million dollar inventory, there is a
very good chance that TCM has the part you are

Hopefully now you have a better understanding
of the scope of TCM’s offerings. Not only does TCM

and recreational West Coast boating events. In
addition to having fun at these events, Bob is also
there to support his customers. The “Big Yellow”
Teague parts truck is a welcome sight to many
a boater, since it always contains a ton of parts,
especially those parts that everyone seems to need
late at night, the evening before the big run.
I personally have seen Bob out at midnight getting
parts from the truck for people so they can run in
the event the following day. That level of support is
essential for boaters who have invested a lot of time
and money just to show up at these events. One
part can make the difference between spending the
