CHAPTER 2 LITERATURE REVIEW 2.

0 Introduction Based on research and writing which related Quran lesson that was conducted before this, researcher found this title of this research Effectiveness of laboratory Quran: survey in Darul Quran not yet have been carried out by any researcher and writer before. However, there is having several researches that were conducted before this which discuss indirectly some aspect which became thrust to this research. Following is research that can be made as study literature for this research. 1. This research carried out by Fully Residential School in Malaysia namely Kolej Islam Sultan Alam Shah, Kelang (KISAS), Sekolah Menengah Agama Persekutuan, Kajang and Sekolah Menengah Agama Persekutuan, Labu. Objective in this research is to know computer usage scope among teachers in Arabic language teaching and learning in school that chosen above. This research also aims to get feedback from teachers which teach in Arabic language on perception, readiness level and their role in teaching and learning Arabic language with computer helping. This research explains computer application actually have started since the past 30 years. Pembelajaran Bahasa Berbantukan Komputer (PBBK) also known as CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) has started pioneered since 1960an more. Since than that, own CALL had elapsed three phase which differ (Warschaur 1996). These phases known as behavioristic CALL, communicative CALL and integrative CALL. From studies that was being conducted and based on data acquisition that achieved, can make conclusion that computer usage scope in lesson and Arabic language learning is in minimum level, however Arabics teachers have very good perception in teaching and

learning process in Arabic language with computer helping where 100% from teachers believe that PBBK can enhance their teaching quality and increase student skills on Arabic language and over 90% states that they believe on by using PBBK able to save time, energy and facilitate their teaching process. Although this research discuss directly on Arabic language teaching and learning process with computer helping, however, this research do not discussing directly on use of laboratory and material that can help teaching and learning process al-Quran in school or in any institution, further leave question for research expansion in that aspect. 2. This research takes initiative to develop a Perisian Pembelajaran Berbantukan Komputer (PBK) in Malay language fully and in Jawi writing version. PBK software's construction this based on ADDIE design's model and based on learning theory cognitivisme. Macromedia Authorware 6.5, Adope Photoshop 7.0 and VCD Cutter had been used as project development this software. Overall, teaching and learning process through usage PBK's software will increase student learning effectiveness. Beside that, this system also great potential to extend learning process. Although, this research no direct correlation with laboratory and al-Quran, however, this research can be made as laboratory studies in reference Quran because based on this research have a certain materials which related on helps in teaching and learning process al-Quran with more effectiveness. 3. This research carried out to identify technical instruction implementation skill listen to Arabic language, identify levels of consumption Alat Bantu Mengajar (ABM) in Arabic language lesson, identify skill levels of achievement listen to Arabic language and identify differentiate skill to listen Arabic language between groups which uses ABM with that do

not use ABM. Although, this research discuss directly on ABM or material suitably in teaching process, however, this research did not discuss on ABM use or suitable material laboratory to be used in laboratory Quran.

4. This research is a survey on application software use computer in Malay language learning in Putra University of Malaysia (UPM). This research aim to identify computer application types, application software usage frequency computer, student's perception on application software use computer and compare performance among student major with students minor in Malay language learning in UPM. Survey results show that there are four application software dominant computers used by student in Malay language learning in UPM, namely word processing software, internet, email and multimedia inscription software. Based on the result, researcher recommended some suggestions to boost consumption computer application software, especially in Malay language learning in higher education level to realize mission and vision of government in field of information technology. However, this research does not discuss in detail on aspects which related material, management and laboratory curriculum. And this leave question for research expansion in that aspect. 5. This research discuss on necessary laboratory computer in teaching and learning process as one of the alternatives to create skill discuss of student, to give a good ideas, cooperate, and mastery learning through skilled teacher's guidance. In fact, his research also discusses material and learning that prepared in laboratory computer has been wasted. However, this research never mentions this material suitable for Quran subject learning, but it gives

opportunity or space to research more detailed on this problem. The material that they using for the other subject can be applied in laboratory Quran. Indirectly it increases students' perception quality and skill for teacher.

6. This research operate against learning muslims student as respondent (kajian ini dijalankan terhadap mahasiswa pengajian islam) to identify system and learning structure Quran that offered in Higher Educational Institutions in malaysia (IPTA). Objective in this research is analyzing problem that exists in learning methodology Quran that expended at Higher Educational Institutions in Malaysia (IPTA), further submit proposal to update present learning system. Between issues that threw in this research education approach that think suitable for process teaching and learning course related to Tilawah Quran and course during related Quran. Issue retrieval finds that most effective method in lesson all courses that is specific use of laboratory. However, this research do not mention in detail on aspects which related management system and use of that laboratory, further leave this issue for study expansion in that aspect. 7. This research carried out to analyze learning system's effectiveness Quran and method to memorize of Quran in Malaysia and propose memorization's best module Quran. Although, this research directly related with learning method and method memorize of Quran, however, this research do not mention aspects of laboratory Quran as instrument teaching and learning and effectiveness in learning and memorizing of Quran.

8. This research was to get feedback from students and lecturers in Maktab Perguruan Teknik Kuala Lumpur on CD use computer in teaching and learning process. Apart from that, this research also to get feedback from students on CD usage advantage computer compared traditional method. Function CD computer is for reference lesson makhraj huruf, mim mati, nun mati, hukum mad, makna ayat and taranum. However, traditional method more congenial used to teach method makhraj. Research results found students and lecturers agree that CD use computer give goodness to them in teaching and learning process. Lecturer also agreed that CD computer pleasant students to say again makhraj huruf, mim mati, nun mati, hukum mad, makna ayat and taranum, easy to student to do the revision education. However, this research does not discuss in detail on aspects which related material, management and laboratory curriculum. And this leave issues for research expansion in that aspect. Based on literature study that stated previously, it show this research very reasonable to be carried out because this research objective never yet been studied by any research, and it become more importantly because this research very closely connected with teaching and learning level's effectiveness Quran field which became first reference Muslims.
