Sada Kapal Temple

Sada Kapal temple often called Pususadha, located in Banjar Pemebatan, Kapal village, Mengwi district Badung regency. According to any sources, temple name was one of Kahyangan Jagat temple probably took from Palinggih Prasada that there was Utamaning Mandala. The places of worship in form of Pejal storey like Pyramid terraces with height about 16 meters. In this temple placed Dewata Nawa Sanga satute. Candi Bentar in this temple has similarity with building temple style in east Java. There were a lot of versions mentioned the year of establishment Sada temple. However as worship of teacher Siwa by local learners of lontar leaf, this temple estimated was built in years 830. Sada temple is one of cultural heritage sites protected by Indonesian government. This temple was built by king of Mengwi about 18th century to respect family kingdom ancestor that was Jayengrat king. In 1260, this temple was renovated in the reign of Dalem Bali Mula with their king titled Asta Sura Ratni Bumi Banten. Reputedly at that time, Kebo Wayu Pawarangan or Kebo Taruna Ordered by Bali Mula ruler to come to the ship for renovating the temple. In the last his work renovated Sada temple, Kebo Iwa (Karang Buncing) had made a cult place or named Dharma Pangastulan in the southeast of Sada temple. Dharma Pangastulan as a cult Warih place or Parisentana Karang Buncing in west of Tukad Yeh Agung. Besides that, Sada temple was also renovated in 1400 years at the time of Pangeran Kapal Beringkit kingdom. The next renovation took place in 1600. The ceremony in Sada temple is conducted every six months in Tumpek Kuningan. Sada temple consists of Tri Mandala those are Utamaning Mandala (jeroan), Madyaning Utama (middle yard), and Nistaning Mandala (Jeroan sisi). Among middle yard and main yard there is Candi Kurung, another yard between middle yard and outer yard there is Candi Bentar. In main yar or called utamaning mandala there are worship places named Pelinggih Padmasana, intersection of Batur mountain god, intersection og Agung mountain, intersection of Batukaru, Manik Galih god worship, god worship of Sakenan temple, Prasada temple, saving place, praying place, Pawedan, Piyasan place, Tri Murti worship, intersection of I Gusti Ngurah Celuk, Ratu Made Sakti Blambangan, Ratu Ngurah Panji Sakti, piyasan place, Tratai Bang temple and etc. One of the unique place of this temple is Prasada. Prasada is a worship place of Ida Batara Pasupati or teacher Siwa or Sang Hyang Lingga Buwana or Sang Hyang Druwaresi. While in Madyaning Mandala there are Gedong Parerepan, Bale Sumanggen, Bale gong (Traditional Intrsumental of Balinese). Commonly, the ancestors in Natar Sari Apuan-Tabanan temple, Pucak Kembar Pacung Baturiti temple and Pucak Padang Dawa temple of Bangli Baturiti-Tabanan village when going to jaba jero, a series of ceremony or anniversary of the

temple, held here and placed in a Madyaning Mandala. While in jaba side there is Ratu Made Sedahan worship.
