Brad Habenicht SHIFT HOURS: MAJOR CRIMES: ARRESTS: 120621-2001-01 Assault & Disorderly Conduct 12113 Tuscaloosa Road Officers responded to a report of an assault. While investigating the incident, it was determined the suspect (Jeremy Altizer DOB: 11-06-1990) assaulted the victim by pushing him when the victim asked Jeremy to leave the house. There were no physical signs of injury to the elderly victim. While officer attempted to render assistance to the victim, with transportation to the magistrates office, the suspect became belligerent and refused to remain calm. Officer arrested the suspect for disorderly conduct and the magistrate later issued a warrant for assault. OTHER INFORMATION: 120621-1936-01 Child Custody Issue The complainant called police to assist with retrieving her child. The child was located in Iredell County with the grandmother. When asked if she contacted the Sheriffs Department she stated she did and they told her to file a report with Huntersville Police reference kidnapping. After further investigation, it was determined the child was placed in the custody of the grandmother, with the mothers consent, by DSS in Iredell County. The Sheriffs Department advised they would not take the child from the grandmother without a court order, citing the safety and welfare of the child. Officers completed an MI to document the incident. 120621-1936-02 Mental Subject 10030 Gilead Road Officers transported a subject from Presbyterian Huntersville to the main campus. 120621-1939-01 Assist Fire Medic 16632 Statesville Road Officers responded to Chilis in reference to several patrons coughing and evacuating the restaurant. The first responding officer walked over from Long Horn and witnessed fifteen patrons outside the front door. None appeared to be coughing at that time. There was a report of a haze in the restaurant but the first officer on scene found no evidence of that. Half of the restaurant was unaffected and those customers were continuing their meal. The staff had opened the rear and front door to air the building out. One person advised they heard another patron say someone sprayed something in the air. The witness and suspects were never located. Medic and Fire arrived and evaluated fifteen patrons (on scene). Fire allowed the remaining patrons to finish their meals and management decided to shut the restaurant down for the evening. No one was seriously injured nor was anyone transported. Per Medic, the suspect may have sprayed a pepper spray like substance in order to avoid paying their bill (this has apparently occurred in Charlotte several times). At this time, officers cannot confirm what, if anything was sprayed in the restaurant. 1800 Hours TO: 0600 Hours
