Job Specification

1. Position: Investment Business Development Department Head 2. Reports to: ETHIOPIA HOLDING Corporate company CEO 3. Job Summery
Enlarge, diversify and upgrade the investment of ETHIOPIA HOLDING, implement projects with efficient and effective technology and economy, and develop innovations and value adding products while at the same time create better Environment for society and the proposed company. Expansion, rehabilitation and new projects which may have significant impact in the region as a forward or backward linkage with sectors will be identified, formulated and studied in any orderly manner in accordance to the resources, market, technology and engineering, project initiation and planning, implementation and closure along with the concerned group. Projects implemented by project office will be monitored and evaluated for their performance so as to take remedial actions in due time.

4. Responsibilities and Tasks


Develops directions that enhance investment capability for ETHIOPIA HOLDING Corporation and conducts activities of project feasibility studies, appraisal, tendering process and the realization phase. Identifying, analyzing and bringing new businesses, new products and new project ideas. Conducts an assessment of regional, national and global business related trends, and gathers and compiles business related information for finding challenges or generating opportunities and learning how to analyze a business environment to make it work to the ETHIOPIA HOLDINGs advantages.

Prioritizes agendas of market research and other general economic studies that assist investment development based on the assessment, companys problem, general need and directions of ETHIOPIA HOLDING Corporation. Searches JV partners and other firms in order to enhance investment capability and business development in general. Prepares proposals for project consultancy for technical and technological support. Prioritize projects for study and implementation. Train and mentor local investment business development staff at the all levels in the application of the skills on a planned and regular basis.

5. Required Competencies
Ability to conduct feasibility study. Deep knowledge of project design. Deep knowledge of project management. Knowledge of risk assessment and impact analysis. Knowledge of strategies for dealing with risk. Ability to train and mentor local professional employees in the field. Excellent planning, management and organization skills. Fluent in English language (both in written and oral communication).

6. Qualification and Skills sought


MBA/MA in Business Management, Economics, Management, or MSc in Industrial Engineering from a recognized college /university. Experience above 15 years work experience in managerial position of investment feasibility study, in Monitoring and Evaluation investment project study and implementation or related areas in manufacturing /service business. Age above 45 years old.
