I gained my first experience with branding through a short-term attachment at the Mark/BDDO ad agency and by blogging for bodzlomu.typepad.com and perfectcrowd.cz blogs ran by a former Global Director Consumer & Market Insight, Global Director for Rexona at Unilever Jaroslav Cir. Brand management was one of the priorities in the Outbreak agency as we strove to deliver more than just a perfect ad campaign. Brand analysis, strategy and management make up a key competence of my current partners at the Idealisti consultancy. We build on the theoretical apparatus of David Aaker, Carol Lynn Pearson and many more. Work in a small ad agency of just 5 people meant everybody got to do pretty much everything. From copywriting, presentations, budget allocation, timing plans, graphic design or data analysis of every campaign we launched. I began to freelance after two years of this experience and now I cooperate closely with the Idealisti consultancy as a project manager. I had the opportunity to attend every London in Prague conference and learn from the likes of world-famous designer Richard Seymour, brilliant market researcher John Kearon and Virginia Valentine who pioneered commercial use of semiotics in UK. I acquired some very valuable experiences from the Consumer Culture Conference in Czech republic. It was a one-of-a-kind conference in our region where I got insights from leading academics and business people alike. I met my current Idealisti partners there. I was responsible for data analysis of one of the bigger Groupon-clone servers in Czech Republic for two years. From the launch until the acquisition in February 2012. During my studies at Czech Technical University I became proficient in informatics, cybernetics, inner workings of computing technology and programming languages. I attended courses on C, C++, PHP and several more theoretical classes. Empirical part of my bachelor's thesis on use of genetic algorithms in Formula 1 car setup optimization is implemented in C++, but I also attended courses on machine learning, neural networks and heuristic algorithms in general. I launched my first commercial application in summer 2012. It is a PHP/MySQL extension of a NING social network site which we designed for the Allianz Insurance company at Idealisti.

We came up with a concept of Social CRM for the Allianz Insurance. It is a simple and costeffective way how to keep touch with clients and follow up on focus groups, individual deep interviews or other qualitative methods. Allianz Client Boards is built on a lent platform NING. We found out quite early that it didnt allow us to do everything the way we wanted. But it has an API, so it was possible to build a PHP/MySQL extension which helps us manage users and content in the private social network. Czech producer of office furniture Office Pro asked our agency to analyse, redesign and relaunch their portfolio of brands. And we did just that, while supervising that the brand values and the brand story got translated correctly into new catalogues and new website. Outbreak agency came up with a concept of a news web aimed at women with social network features. I was asked to do a system analysis of the brief to tech and creative teams of our client. Problem to be solved was defined by a simple question. How to launch a brand which will be loved by sales people? We designed a new brand from scratch at Idealisti and led it with Radovan Jirka at Centrum to the stage of a fully functional product portfolio. New products became best-sellers. Thanks to simply

Managers of the Groupon-clone server BonyBony contacted me with various questions typical for the segment. I tried to find the biggest hurdles in the registration process, find the most effective marketing channels or model an average customer to evaluate user acquisition costs. We founded a Facebook page for the Hairgods hairdressing salon in 2009. It was called Against grey fashion in Czech streets. And we managed to build an active community by generating content relevant to our target group. Not a single penny got spent on advertising. The project got extended in late 2010 to a full blown medium. We hired a proper editor-inchief, gave her the new website and Facebook page as a distribution platform. It had 15 thousand fans at the moment and generated about two thirds of pageviews on the new website. Ambition of our agency to develop an easily and repeatably sellable product got fulfilled in 2009 when we had a website named Paartyy developed for us and we launched our first campaign for Vitana. 10 different campaigns until this day for Hellmann's / Unilever, NESCAF / Nestl, Tlefonica O2 or Billa / REWE Group. Needless to say the project is solidly in the black numbers. This was a PR campaign with a really simple goal. Bring highest amount of traffic to the auction web www.blazniveaukce.cz. We sold the client a concept of PR collaboration with the biggest Czech bulletin newspaper Blesk. To explain the context, Agata Hanychova is a Czech celebrity. Like Kate Perry, maybe more risqu. Blaznive Aukce sold a weekend with Agata. Both the build-up, the auction and the weekend got thoroughly covered by the newspaper. This campaign was twice as effective in money spent per one unique visitor compared to the industry segment standard. Distributor of the backup software Acronis asked us with a simple brief We want a Word-of-Mouth campaign. Budget was low, so we went for a viral video. It was unsuccessful, but the experience was still valuable, both for us and the client.

New advertising concept /AVG

AVG was about to launch a new version of their anti-virus software in late 2007. Our job was to come up with a new advertising concept usable worldwide for the next 2 to 3 years. Prague Airport was looking for a new ad agency in the summer of 2007. Mark/BBDO took place in the competitive tender. And we won the account. I designed a POS contest for Heinz Ketchups in Czech Tesco Stores. Aim of the project was to: a) get more shelf space for Heinz b) ideally raise the sales a bit
