Future revisions should utilize the same structure in orderfor the Drilling Manual to maintain its organization and appearance. 1.1.2 The Drilling Manual has been prepared using Microsoft Word. Eachchapter will con sist of an index page, followed by text. These are:A) Hard copy (3-ring binder).B) Electronically, on Drilling & Workover servers.C) CD-ROM disc with key word search capability. 1.3 Distribution1.3.1 List Hard copies of the Drilling Manual will be distributed based on needand accessib ility to the LAN servers. A copy of the Drilling Manual willbe stored in electro nic form on the LAN server for easy access;consequently, hard copy distribution will be minimized. The hard copydistribution of the Manual will be as follows:A) General Manager, D&WB) Managers, D&WC) Rig Superintendents, D&WD) General Super visors, DWOEDE) Supervisors, DWOEDF) Rig Foremen, D&WG) Loss Prevention Represen tativeAdditional copies of the Drilling Manual requested by individuals othertha n those listed above will be considered on a case-by-case basisand will be decid ed by the custodian of the Manual, GeneralSupervisor of Workover Engineering and Technical Services Division. 1.3.2 Manual Numbering Each hard copy of the Drilling Manual will be numbered to insure thedocument is traceable. It will be properly marked, both on the outsideof the binder and on t he fist page of the document. A record will bekept of the Manual numbered and th e recipient name. CD-ROM(when available) or none.C) Copies of the Drilling Manual will be hand-de livered to eachrecipient and their initials obtained to verify receipt of theman ual. 2.0 REVISIONS2.1 Frequency The Drilling Manual will be updated no later than once every two years. Thedurat ion of the revision should not exceed two months since majority of thechanges wi ll be minor. 2.2 Format The same format as the original Drilling Manual will be followed. All changesand addendums will be highlighted on a separate page and inserted in theinside cove r of the manual for quick reference. The updated sections orparagraphs within th e Manual will have a line on the side of the page, asshown to the right of this paragraph. It is also important to change the date ofthe updated section in the upper right hand corner of the document. 2.3 Responsibilities2.3.1 Manual Modification The General Supervisor of Workover Engineering and TechnicalServices will assign a person to undertake the task of modifying theDrilling Manual. The assigned pe rson will collect all pertinentinformation related to updating the Manual, evalu ate the proposedchanges/additions, prepare them in a draft form, and circulate t oManagement for approval. Once approved, he will modify the Manualand highlight the changes as described in Section 2.2 above. He may seek the help of atechnician to deliver the Manual to the rig sites if necessary. 2.4 Distribution Instructions Using the original Drilling Manual distribution list, either inserts, pagereplac ements or complete Manual replacements will be hand delivered to theManual recip ients. Old Manuals that have been replaced will new ones willbe destroyed to avo id inadvertent use.
