SUCCESS STORIES
India Sudar has been supporting Govt Higher Secondary School, Renganathampettai, Karur for quite a long time. Five students from the school represented state level Children's Science Congress held at Sri Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Erode Dt. on 26/11/2011. They submitted a project on "Ply Croping". The students were appreciated by the CEO and Sub-Collector. India Sudar's support stands behind this achievement. 90 students wrote an aptitude test conducted by Tamil Nadu Science Forum. They are given subscription for Thulir Science magazine. 30 students of them are supported by India Sudar. The library books serve as the primary reference source for the various speech competitions, skits, drama etc. Thanks to one and all for the continuous support.

EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

LEARNING CENTRES
PAKKAM, THIRUVALLUR DISTRICT Member: Jayakumar.L

Date: 11th Jan

India Sudar started a Learning Centre for poor performing 10th standard students at Govt High School, Pakkam, Tiuvallur District. The school is located in the rural area of Tiruvallur District. Most of the students parents are daily wage labourers. Last year, the school pass percentage in 10th standard was 49. India Sudar started an evening learning centre to provide regular training program for 10th standard students. This will be a 5 month program and covers 80 students.

FIELD VISIT
NEW LIFE CHARITABLE TRUST Member: Saravanan Tamilmani

Date: 29th Dec

India Sudar member Saravanan Tamilmani and his family visited New Life Charitable Trust, Eraiyur Village, Kanchipuram District. The trusts objective is to serve two segments of neglected people in distress, the old destitute with no trace of family and the abandoned young ones. They spent half a day chatting, playing with the kids and talking to the elders in the old age home and also had lunch with them.

CHILDREN HOME FOR BOYS, CHENGALPATTU Member: J. Kishore Kumar

India Sudar member visited Govt Children Home for Boys, Taluk Office Compound, Chengalpettu, Kancheepuram and interacted with students and the staff. He checked India Sudar stationeries and was glad to see they were properly utilized. He also identified other immediate requirements for the home.

CHILDREN HOME FOR BOYS, CHENGALPATTU Member: Udhaya Kumar V

India Sudar member visited Govt Children Home for Boys, Royapuram, Chennai and had discussion with Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent about student education status. India Sudar had been running education project for this home since 2007. We executed projects like learning centres, stationery, activity based learning, sports, creative learning, etc. We hold up our activity for last 6 months because of some management change. Now India Sudar is planning to resume the project and start classes for high school students.

Maranatha Arche Children Home started in 1972 and currently owned/managed by Mrs. Christina V Philips. This home provides shelter, food and education for 93 students (orphan/semi orphan; Most of them girls). This home having 7 staffs, who take care of cooking, cleaning etc. India Sudar team had discussion with students and staff and identified requirements such as providing computer, sports goods, drawing material etc.

AWARENESS AND MOTIVATIONAL PROGRAMS

India Sudar member organized an awareness and motivational program for the villagers of Ghorella village, Bikaner District. India Sudar member with the help of Mr. Padam singh, a villager explained the importance of education and motivated them by telling the success stories of India Sudar. They have been briefed about various career opportunities too.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS
COIMBATORE Member: Mohan Kandasamy

India Sudar has deployed two teachers at Govt School, Velliankadu, Coimbatore, one teacher for Mathematics and the other one for Commerce. The half yearly examination results are out and the students came off flying colours. Average mark obtained by students in Mathematics is 110 out of 200 and that for Commerce is 99 out of 200. Our sincere thanks to India Sudar members Diwakaran.K and Ramesh kolati for funding this project.
