Help us

to respect the environment

FOR OVER TEN YEARS THE TOUR DE FRANCE HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTING MEASURES TO REDUCE ITS IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT. After the communities, The Agency for the sustainable development (ARPE Midi-Pyrénées), The Connexions and the Assembly of French Departments (ADF), you too can play a major role in our campaign.

Our priorities:

the reduction of CO2 emissions ; the management and recycling of waste.

I AM A RIDER:

I will use the bins positioned at the start and end of the feed zones in which to throw my rubbish during the race (water bottles and wrappers); outside of the feed zone I will put my rubbish in my pockets.

AM PART OF THE RACE CONVOY:
I RECYCLE
I will switch off my engine if I am stationary for more
than one minute;
I will try to carpool whenever possible;
I will try to drive in a more environmentally friendly
manner by adapting my speed (less pollution, less fuel
consumption);
I will use the recycling bins put at my disposal (in the
village, the technical zone, the finish area…). Whenever
there are no bins, I will keep the rubbish to throw away
later.
I
AM PART OF THE ADVERTISING CARAVAN:

I will dispose of all packaging (cardboard boxes, plastic

All cases of rule breaking (excessive speed, mobile telephone use, etc.) will be subject to sanctions ranging from a warning to temporary exclusion from the race, or more severe punishment in serious or repeat cases.
