Scope
EMC test demonstrate that the electromagnetic interference characteristics (emission and susceptibility) of the equipment under worst condition does not result in malfunction of the equipment. It verifies also that the equipment does not emit, radiate or conduct interference, which result in malfunction of other system equipment. Moreover, the performance of the equipment during and after electrostatic discharge are verified both in conducted and radiated modes. The susceptibility margins are measured also.
Participants
The EMC/EMI test is defined and conducted by PREMOS experiment manager or his representative. To guaranty an efficiency and high quality test run, from each instrument shall be present an expert all the time. This expert shall supervise the test procedures and shall comment and approve test results of his instrument.
Test Description
The test shall be conducted in accordance with the requirements of MIL-STD-462. Additional reference documents are MIL-STD-461C for application of the limits and YTO/INS/EMC/0669/C EMC/ESD Guideline Procedure for the procedure (test set up). An evaluation shall be made on each equipment to determine which test shall be performed as the baseline requirements.

Test is successful completed, when the electromagnetic interference characteristics (emission and susceptibility) of the equipment has not resulted in malfunction of the equipment. And the verification of emission, radiation and conduct interference, is inline with specifications. Moreover, the susceptibility margins shall be inside the specifications. TBD are the emission levels of tests for the radiated susceptibility and of the conducted susceptibility. The following signals are critical and part of the success criteria:
