Project meeting Recognition of learning in Scouting and Guiding, Amstelveen - The Netherlands, 24 august 2012

Information for the project meeting Recognition of learning at August 24, 2012. Meeting of projectteams Recognition of learning in Scouting and Guiding Project leaders of NSGO's of Denmark, Portugal, Slovenia, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Belgium and The Netherlands. Also representatives from WOSM- and WAGGGS-Europe. We also would like to invite one of the teammembers of each projectteam to join the projectleader to this meeting (so max. 2 persons for each team). Date: Saturday August 24, 2012 Location: Scoutcentre Amstelveen Amsterdamseweg, entrance via a small road aside of nr. 378, Amstelveen http://scoutnet.nl/~kantankye/locatie.html Start program: Saturday 24, 11.00 AM (please be present at 10.30 AM) End program: Saturday 24, 4.00 PM Program information: Friday (optional) 18.00 : Possibility to arrive on fridaynight for the ones who cannot make it in time on saturdaymorning, No formal program but we will arrange some social getaround the campfire. Saturday: 10.30 - 11.00: Welcome, coffee/tea, starting up 11.00 - 12.30: Looking back at the projectmeetings, the support and projectmanagement, strong points and points of improvement of the project and the meetings. 13.00 - 15.45: Looking forward for new projectpossibilities through WOSM, WAGGGS, YIA and other organisations. 15.45 - 16.00: Completion of the project with a little 'ceremony'. Optional: 16.00 - 17.00: Personal time, reparing for informal eveningprogram 17.00 : Informal program in the City of Amsterdam Sunday: 11.00 Event: Participants:

So you can arrive at friday evening or saturday morning, and you can depart at saturday evening or sunday morning. The formal program is on saturday 11.00 - 16.00 hrs. this time it is The program starts at Saturday 11.00 AM and lasts till 4 PM. Please make sure you arrive in time. Things to bring: - Valid travel documents and personal belongings - There are no beds, so if you want to stay-over for one or two nights, you need to bring your own matras, sleeping bag, pillowcase and towels. - Information and/or documentation you need for your evaluation of the project. Things to do: - Try to book your flights as soon as possible, because the tickets will be much more expensive when booked in short notice. - Please let us know when you want to arrive and depart (friday/saturday and saturday/sunday), at which time your flights arrive and depart from the airport. - Please let us know who are coming: names and e-mailadresses of each participant (max. 2 per team).

Travel information The training centre is only 25 mins. away from the airport Schiphol Amsterdam. 1. Go to the busstops at the Plaza, right outside the trainterminal, at the end of the arrivalterminal. 2. Take bus 300, direction Amsterdam (you can buy a ticket in the bus). 3. At bus- and trainstation Amstelveen, transfer to bus 170, 172 or 174, also direction Amsterdam. 4. Get out at the stop: 'Graaf Florislaan' wich is already on the Amsterdamseweg. 5. Follow the road, take the first street on your right (wich is also the Amsterdamseweg), and after about 200 m. you will find the entrance next to nr. 378 (across the street). http://9292.nl/looproute/amstelveen_bushalte-graaf-florislaan/amstelveen_amsterdamseweg-378 Refund of travel costs: All your travel costs will be refunded for 70%, including the bus- or train tickets to and from the airport and accommodation. The guidelines of Youth In Action for refunding are very strict. Please save all your: - receipts of payments by bank or otherwise - e-mail confirmations of reservations of airplane tickets - tickets nd boarding passes (make sure you don't throw them away!)
