Tapestry Concert
Tonight at 7:00 p.m.
Tapestry is hosting a concert at Chaparral for
Sarah White, a young woman and member of
Chaparral who has been diagnosed with a very
aggressive form of breast cancer. You can read
more about Sarah's story in the Newsletter.

Youth Group
We would love some
decorating assistance!!
Join us for an hour after services to start transforming
the Church into a National Forest!
No experience necessary.
Youth Group Sunsplash will be on 7/11 after VBS
for all teens (bring a friend)! Cost is $20 per person
and we will be at the park until 7:00.
Pool Parties are 7/8 (Aragaki's) and 7/29 (Shirvinski's) from 4-5:45.
Directions will be available on the days of the parties. Students need
to bring snacks and drinks. Girls must wear a suit that covers
their stomach or a t-shirt over their 2-piece to all swimming
events, sunsplash or otherwise!
The Lock-out is coming August 10
th

Farewell to Armes!
A drop-in farewell party is set for Sunday,
July 15
th
, in the Choir Room, from 2-4 p.m.
to give our love to the Armes family for all
they have done here at Chaparral! Short
presentations will be given every half hour or
so. Come join the fun! If you would like to
submit a photo or note to the Armes, we will
take your remembrance and include it in a
scrapbook for them! Please see Jackie or
Gail Arnold.
Sunday Morning Breakfast!!
On hiatus on July 29th and August 5th.
It will resume the following week.
I enjoyed a nice Sunday drive to Globe last Sunday to deliver our
backpacks and school supplies to
Arizona Reservation Ministries.
As you can see, we had so much stuff that my trunk overowed
and I had to put a lot of it in the backseat area. My friend, Dale
Lawrence, was most appreciative. Dale said that they wanted at
least 600 backpacks, but a thousand is what they would really like
to have. A local foundation donated 500, so our donation, around
40, along with what other churches have contributed, have put
them well on their way! - Mike Murphy

We would like to get to know you! Each pew has a Welcome Book in which
you can let us know prayer requests, sign up for events and update your
information. Please pass the Welcome Book down the row so we can hear
from everyone!
Communion/Lords Supper
All followers of Christ are welcome to participate in our Service of Communion.
If you have prepared yourself for this very special moment with our Savior, you
are invited to his table. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30) Please take the emblems as
they are passed and partake when you are ready. Some prefer to take it while
it is in front of them before passing it along.
Offering
In our first two services, a special time for giving is set aside. Participation is an
act of worship and voluntary. During our third service there will not be a time
specific for offering but rather boxes are placed at the entry to allow for giving
as you are led.
Nursery
We have a friendly, well-staffed and impeccably clean nursery located on the
north side of the narthex. Please see an usher for directions.
