Introduction Several scientific reports have documented guto kolas ability to aid wound healing, which is responsible for its traditional use in leprosy. Guto kola is a mild adaptogen, is midly an antibacterial, anti-viral, anti- inflammatory, antiulcerogenic, anxiolytic, a cerebral tonic, a circulatory stimulant, a diuretic, nervine and vulnery. In Thailand, cups with guto kola leaves is thought to relive hypertension. A loultice of leaves is also used to treat open sores. The researchers will prove if there is significant in using concentration of guto kola on banana aphid. The researchers will use the leaf extracts of guto kola and through many processes, the researchers will find out the effectiveness of the gotu kola. A. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY Economically, the most important kola species are those cultivated in tropical countries for their caffeine-rich nuts. Two species, which are quite similar in appearance, account for the bulk of nut production. They are slender trees with broad tops, attaining heights of 20 m (65 ft). The pointed, leathery leaves are alternate (each leaf is on the opposite side of the stem from the one above) and up to 30 cm (12 in) long. The yellow flowers are about 2 cm (about 0.8 in) across. Twice a year, the flowers develop into fruits, or nuts, 8 to 17 cm (3.2 to 6.7 in) long. Harvested by hand, the brown nuts, which resemble chestnuts and have an aroma like that of nutmeg, are separated from the follicles and sun-dried, after which they are ready for shipment.

In addition to their use in soft drink manufacture, kola nuts are used in tropical regions as nervous system stimulants to inhibit fatigue and hunger. They are also used in traditional African folk medicine to cure stomach ulcers, diarrhea, dysentery, and other ills. Muslims consider kola nuts to be sacred, and incorporate them in ceremonial and social occasions. When chewed, kola nuts taste bitter initially but leave a sweet, lingering aftertaste.

B. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM STATEMENT If there is a significant effect in using concentration of guto kola ( Cantella asiatica ) on banana aphid ( P. nigronervosa).

DEFINITION OF TERMS Guto kola ( C asiatica ) used as an antifungal agent against banana aphid Banana aphid ( P. nigronervosa ) a disease in banana that causes a soft rot disease Soft rot disease a disease on banana from its aphid. It must be cured in this experiment.

II. Review of Related literature and Related studies A. Related Literature Guto kola also known as Centella asiatica, Indian Pennywort and Mondookaparni has been used for centuries as a medical herb to in the French Pharmacopoeia in 1884, as well as the ancient traditional Chinese Shennong Herbal some 2000 years ago, as well as in Indian Ayurvedic medicine some 3000 years ago. It contains a variety of ingredients, but the active ingredients are asiaticoside ( a triterpene glycoside) (triterpenoid), brahmoside both saponin glycosided, madecassoside (a glycoside with strong anti-inflamatory properties), madecassic acid, thiamin, riboflavin pyridoxine, vitamin K, aspirate, glutamate, seine, threonin, alanine, lysine, histine, magnesium, calcium and sodium. It contains no caffeine (it is sometimes confused with kola nut, which contains high caffeine content), yet, it is used extensively to increase energy and vitality. The reason for this might be because it is said to assist with increasing the blood sugar level, which in turn would prevent hypoglycemia, mental fatigue, depression, confusion as well as schizophrenic tendencies or it could be because of the high concentration of thiamin (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2) and pyridoxine (vitamin B6) which assist to convert carbohydrates into glucose as well as normal nervous system functioning. B. Related Studies Cantella asiatica is also used in animal testing, together with capsicum and Siberian ginseng it can assist in overcoming the negative effects of fatigue

and stress. Its beneficial effects on the nervous system is of great help to people suffering from diverse problems such as varicose veins, gastric ulcers, phlebitis, hemorrhoids, etc. in this action, Cantella asiatica helps in strengthening the capillaries and veins and in so doing assists with better blood circulation.

III. Methodology

A. Materials For extracting guto kola: Mortar and pestle Knife Strainer 30g of guto kola leaf 10mL of water 1 small bowl

For treatment: 4 petri dish 4 banana aphid specimen Measuring spoon or dropper Extracted guto kola

B. Sterilization Petri dish and beaker should be auto clave at 15 p.s.i. mortar and pestle. knife, strainer, bowl, and spoon or dropper should be washed.

C. Procedure

For extracting guto kola; Get 30g guto kola leaves and chop into tiny pieces. Place them in the mortar and pound it with the use of pestle. Place it in a bowl and add water. Stir the mixture and strain it in a beaker.

For treatment: Place each banana aphids specimen in each Petri dish. Label first Petri dish A, second B, the third dish C, and the fourth dish D. Apply 5mL of guto kola extract on dish A, 3mL on dish B, 3mL on dish C, and none on dish D. Wait for a period of time and determine the effect of different concentration of guto kola on banana aphid. C. Waste disposal The guto kola leaves that have been extracted will be thrown. Wash all the materials after using, make sure that the materials must be cleaned.

V. Conclusion and Recommendation Conclusion:

It was concluded that guto kola have anti-microbial action on P. nigronervosa, a pathogen that caused soft rot disease. Furthermore, guto kola is effective in inhibiting the formation of bacterial colonies. The guto kola can be used as a remedy for soft rot disease caused by P. nigronervosa.

Recommendation: The researchers want to control the microbial action on P. nigronervosa, a pathogen that causes soft rot disease. Instead of using other chemical anti-rot infection, the researchers better use guto kola to reduced chemical effects produced by inorganic medicine. The researchers are hoping that guto kola will be used instead of inorganic medicine that can cause many side effects because of its chemical contents.

Abstract

This study was conducted to test the anti-microbial property of Guto kola on P. nigronervosa, rot pathogen. There are scientific reports that guto kola has the ability to aid wound. In this study the extract of the guto kola is used to prove that it is an antifungal agent against the bananas soft rot disease. The researchers studied the use and the significance of the result. After completing the materials needed, the procedures must be performed carefully to prevent any accidents. And after a period of time the researchers found out that guto kola is used as an anti-microbial agent against pantalonia nigronervosa or banana aphid. In this study, instead of using other chemical antirot infection guto kola is preferred to use to reduce chemical effects produced by inorganic medicine. P. nigronervosa was grown in plates containing varying treatments prepared using guto kola. It was found that colony formation was inhibited in treated plates compared to the control group. The researchers observed that for guto kola treatment, the plates in the control group formed visible colonies for P. nigronervosa. There is a significant effect of different concentration of molasses on banana aphid. This study employed a completely randomized design experiment to test the specimen in different lottery. Guto kola is very effective in inhibiting the formation of bacterial colonies. Therefore the use of guto kola is proven effective to use as an antifungal and anti-microbial agent against the banana aphid that causes the soft rot disease in banana plants.
