Autoliv INC. is a world leader in designing and manufacturing of the automotive safety systems. The main customers are OEM producers like: GM, Land Rover, Daimler, VW, BMW, Renault, Volvo, Fiat, Toyota and Skoda. Autoliv Poland Restraint System produces safety belts. The plant, with an area of 7100 square meters, is located in JelczLaskowice and employs over 500 people. The company developed and started the implementation process of its own Autoliv Production System (APS). The APS goals are: keep the position of market leader, meet the customers and employees expectations and produce the highest quality and lowest costs products. Therefore Autoliv Poland Restrain concentrates on continuous improvement of all processes as well as on trainings and employees development.

Why attend this workshop?


Modular and exible assembly systems can be designed according to different production principles. All of them after many possibilities and have some constraints. Designing continuous ow cells and lines requires to involve different people from assembly, quality, production control and logistics in order to consider all point of views at improvement potentials. The initial production concept has to be veried in practice and improved in accordance to BestPractice principles. During this 2-day workshop you have the possibility to work on designing modular assembly systems in accordance to different production principles.

Presenters.
Katarzyna Szczupa-Vieweg - working for Autoliv since 2001. Her adventure with Lean Manufacturing began as she was working as an assistant to the plant manager. Then, for almost 2 years she worked in the logistics-transportation and customs department. In 2004, she took the position of the APS Manager. The experience gained in other Autoliv facilities in Sweden, Germany, France and Turkey, allowed her to develop the production system in the Jelcz-Laskowice plant. The Lean adventure lasts to this day with continuous improvement. Thomas Keller his cooperation with Autoliv began in 2001 as a quality engineer responsible for safety belt and height adjusters. In 2004, he became Quality Manager at the Jelcz-Laskowice plant. After that, for almost one year, he widened his experience, working as a Supplier Development Manager at Autoliv Europe, mainly concentrating on Lean Manufacturing. In 2007 he became the Jelcz-Laskowice plant manager. He ensures and promotes the APS implementation.

Lucjan Kornicki Staufen Polska CEO. Since 2002, he has been working as consultant in the eld of implementing lean concepts. During this time he has lead implementation and training projects in automotive, household appliances, machinery and electronic equipment in Poland and abroad. He helps companies to dene and implement their production systems based on the principles of continuous improvement. His focus is on optimized material and information ow (continuous ow, Kanban) and on standardized work.

Terms of resignation: In case of resignation 10 days before the date of the training, costs borne by the resignation equal 300 PLN. In case of the resignation period shorter then 10 days, the participant will bear the full cost of participation in the training.
