It will also act as forum for budding entrepreneurs and students in the field of finance to interact with preeminent business leaders. The central theme of this years conclave is The New Economic Order Post Crisis: Political Reforms, Regulations and Inclusive Growth and it promises to enrich the participants with deep musings and intellectual simulations on all dimensions of the theme through panel discussions and speaker sessions. With government policy decisions increasingly playing a highly instrumental role, the conclave would be incomplete without a panel discussion on role of politics in the Indian economy.

The New Economic Order Post Crisis: Political Reforms, Regulations and Inclusive Growth Even two-years after the recent crisis, there are lingering apprehensions that global economy in general and advanced economies in particular may suffer double-dip recession. India, like most other emerging market economies, was not seriously affected by the recent financial turmoil in developed economies. The Indian banking system unlike most of its peers in the west remained profitable. The financial stability in India has been so far achieved through prudent policies which prevented financial institutions from excessive risk taking. However India has a peculiar situation where we have a persistent current account deficit which has to be funded from the capital account surplus. Thus the nature of capital inflows has an important effect on the overall balance of payments of the country. Two decades after the major economic reforms of 1991, the country has again reached a situation where it is waiting for major economic reforms in almost all sectors - Banking, Retail, Oil & Gas, Aviation to name a few. Key political reforms will thus play an important role in defining India's future growth story. With persistent un-clarity on the western economy and the growing importance of the emerging markets in the world economy the conclave will focus on the need for Regulatory Initiatives, Institutional Arrangements, Challenges Faced by Re-Regulation, Financial Sector Reforms, Market Development Measures, Supervisory Issues, Challenges for Inclusive Growth and the Growing Importance of CSR.
