Table-1 shows the details regarding the growth of small scale industrial units registered from 1990-91 to 2007-08.you fuck dear are3 you ready to fuck It is inferred from the above table that the number of SSI units stood at 67.86lakhs in 1990-91 which steadily increased to 133.68lakhs in 2007-08,resulting in 197 percent increase.This is due to the fact that various policy measures have been taken by the government and incentives given in the form of concessions,assistance,facilities and subsidies.As a result,small scale units have registered tremendous growth. Interpretation There is a correlation between small scale sector production and the growth of overall national economy.This sector helps our nation to save the foreign exchange through production of a large nuber of import substitution items.Though the large scale industries produce huge products,the production of small scale industrial units gets more importance,The production performance of small scale units during the period from 1990-91 to2007-08 are depicted in Table-2. Table-2 show the growth in production both at current prices and constant prices from Rs.78802crores at current prices and Rs.84728crores at constant prices in 1990-91 which constantly and steadly increased toRs.695126crores at current prices and Rs.532979crores at constant prices in 2007-08.It is clear from the above that the growth rate of output has exceeded more than 8times during the period from 1990-91 to 2007-08. Unemployment is an important problem of all the countries.Indian is not an exception,its overgrowing population is one of the important factor which has outpaced the development of small scale industries and agriculture.The development of industries helps the gainful employment opportunities ,especially youths in India.The details of employment generation by SSI sector from 1990-91 to2007-08 are furnished in Table-3. It is seen from Table-3 that the employmentprovided by SSI sector is 158.34lakhs people in 1990-91 and which increased to 322.28lakhs people in 2007-08,resulting a growth rate of more than 103percent. By establishing a large number of small scale industrial units during the post reform period,contribution of SSI sector to export earnings has increased. Table-4 shows the details of exports of SSI in India. It could be seen from the table-3 that the growth in exports of small scale industries increased fromRs,9664crores in 1990-91 to Rs,177600crores in 2006-07.There is a considerable increase in the year 2005-06 when we compare to the year 2000-01,which is more than 2times.During the year 200203,the exports recorded a highest growth of 20.73%which is compared to 2001-02 which is more than 10times increased.But it is drastically declined to 13.52percent during 2003-04 and steadily increased to 27.42percent in the year 2004-05 and once again it declines to 20.76percent by the end of the year 2005-06.As it clear from the table ,the overall growth rate is recorded at more than 18times or 837percent during the period from 1990-91to 2006-07.It is finally concluded that exports from the SSI sector have registered excellent growth in this decade(after2000). The SSI sector has maintained a higher rate of growth ahainst the overall industrial sector production.The comparative growth rates of production for SSI sector in India are incorporated in the above table. It is observed from the Table-5 that the growth rate of SSI sector is an increasing trend and the overall industrial sector had registered fluctuating trends during the study period.The growth rate of SSI sector production 8.68%in 2002-03 to 13percent in the year 2007-08,but the growth rate of overall industrial sector production is increased from 2002-03 to 2004-05 and it was step down in the year 2005-06.Again this number rows to 11.5percent in the year 2006-07
