Day 1 - Global Skin Analysis: Comprehensive Consultation and Visual Diagnostic Assessment The most discernible physical characteristics of each individual are their skin color, hair and anatomical features. However, there are some differences between race groups and origins with evolving genetic characteristics unique to each. At the end of this class participants will be able to: Define Global Diversity List three benefits of conducting a confidential skin evaluation List the key characteristics of Global skins Compare the skin structure of Caucasian skin vs. Global skin Identify the skin scale classification system calculating ancestral background and risk factors Evaluate the primary and secondary cause of common skin disorders Day 2 - Exfoliating Agents and Protocols for Global Skins The ultimate goal of this class is to impart information that will lessen the risk factors when providing chemical or manual exfoliation. At the end of this class participants will be able to: Identify the Concept of Global Skin Tones Describe ethnic skin variations using sub-groups, histological differences, unique skin variations and personal assessment List the three mechanisms of action of peeling agents Review the most common areas of concern, caution or contraindications based on global skin attributes.
