A location with all the right connections

Leganes is a coastal town in the Province of Iloilo, located in the middle of the Philippine Islands. It can distribute goods easily to other parts of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Leganes is accessible by air through the Iloilo Airport; by water through the nautical highway linked by roll-on-rolloff ship carriers connecting the rest of the Philippines. It also serves as a gateway to the northern part of the Panay Island. There is an established telecommunication system, making possible for the connection of internet and telephone lines to commercial and industrial locators. Another boost to the investment potential of the municipality is the realization of the proposed bridge that will connect Leganes to the island provinces of Guimaras and Negros. Occidental.

Attractive Investment Propositions

Leganes Industrial Growth Center (IGC) Special Economic Zone Leganes occupies a strategic position in the trading route of Asia-Pacific countries. The natural geographic features of Leganes make it one of the few locations in the country that can be developed as a world class industrial center with a contiguous deep water port in a well-sheltered anchorage. It has a shallow foreshore that is technically feasible and economically viable for reclamation. The IGC is positioned for medium and heavy industries, ship repair and building with wharf facilities. The IGC occupies 177.6 hectares, approved by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), under Resolution No. 97-144.
