Flight Level Adherence Days

Across Europe, from 29 September 2010 00:00 UTC until 30 September 2010 23:59 UTC, a pan-European experiment will take place under coordination from EUROCONTROL, appropriately called "Flight Level Adherence Days". During these days ATC and pilots should adhere to the planned cruising level for any portion of the route to be flown, as filed in item 15 of the ICAO flight plan. Pilots and ATC should not request/allocate an alternative level except in the event of an emergency, weather avoidance or to achieve separation.
