Due to illness and events outside of their control, episode 104 has been delayed, until now.  Michelle was out this week, but Dr. Tiffany Hogan stepped into to keep Michael and Matt in line.  Tiffany hosts the See, Hear, Speak Podcast.  Matt continues to be addicted to Tik Tok videos and the hashtag Tip Tok. Billy Fuller, the author of the ASHA Article “ Now Hiring, Black Male SLPs.  How does play impact learning, the crew will discuss the impact on therapy.  The crew also revisits dyslexia and Dr. Hogan’s study.

Article #1: Predicting Dyslexia: A few weeks back, the crew looked at a study about predicting dyslexia.  However, the crew may have downplayed a few key parts of the study.  Tiffany helps break down the article and the true predictor of dyslexia. 
 
Article #2: Hands-On Learning, More Play May Improve Kindergarten Experience for Students, Teachers: We know that play is great for developing minds.  Is there enough play happening to allow for true language development. 
 
Interview:  Billy Fuller, MS, CF-SLP wrote an article for ASHA labeled, Now Hiring Black Male SLPs.  He sat down with Matt and spoke about his experience in grad school and in the field.  He tells the story about how when he arrived the student next to him told him that his class was down the hall.
