SEARCH TECHNIQUES
After obtaining searchers answers.. Step 1 : Forming Queries
{S1} : medical phrases with weight = 1 {S2} : medical phrases with weight < 1

Step 2 : Produce search result pages


Step 3 : Generate snippets Step 4 : Suggest related medical phrases
Phrases with larger term frequency ( tf )

ADVANTAGES
Questionnaire based query interface to guide

users Avoid undesirable results User Friendly Provide diversified search results Requires no special training

DISADVANTAGES
Maintenance is very difficult
Update database frequently

FUTURE ENHANCEMENTS
Can be made more realistic by considering

the age, sex , occupation of user


Can be made more efficient by adding

digital images, health tips etc..


This intelligent search engine will be

available in near future

CONCLUSION
iMed consider the unique requirements of

medical search
Features are very attractive to users with little

medical knowledge
Increased the quality of search result
