NANOTECHNOLOGY FOR ENHANCED CANCER TREATMENT

Nanotechnology for Enhanced Cancer Treatment

study of manipulating matter on an atomic or molecular scale one hundred to ten thousand times smaller than human cells. similar in size to large biomolecules such as enzymes and receptors.
the comparative size of a nanometer to a meter is the same as that of a marble to the size of the earth.

The Problem . . .

C A N C E R
Cancer is a disease that tops the list of health concerns all over the world
ranks third on the leading cause of morbidity and mortality for every 1800 Filipinos, one will develop cancer annually 7.6 million people worldwide die from cancer each year by 2030, the global burden is expected to grow to 21.4 million new cancer cases and 13.2 million cancer deaths.

This study will be of good interest to professionals in the field of medicine and cancer patients.
This will spread awareness of the present technology that can substitute the traditional treatment of cancer and give hope for better cancer treatment. This study will lessen the fear of society when it comes to cancer, in which has been one of the major causes of deaths worldwide.

Cancer Detection
The earlier cancer is diagnosed and treated, the better the chance of its being cured. Most cases of cancer are detected and diagnosed after a tumor has been felt or when other symptoms develop faster diagnosis is possible allow doctors to see cells and molecules undetectable through conventional imaging. develop a means of taking early stage images of cancer

inject an acid or an enzyme into the cell The particles will begin to oscillate causing the cancer cells to die either from active self destruction or from swelling until they literally burst.

Nanotechnology shows promise for faster and clearer

diagnosis, better drug delivery and much efficient cancer

eradication compared to the traditional methods of cancer treatment that we have today. Nanotechnology makes current methods for

treatments seem simple, because these methods lack the

precision compared to what nanotechnology has to offer.
