Globalization has generally

promoted human dignity, equality and equity at a global level as predicted in the year 2000 by the Millennium Declaration. An exemplary model of global cooperation towards common devt is the Millennium Development Goals

Eradicate extreme poverty Achieve universal primary education Promote gender equality & empower women

Improve maternal health

Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria & other diseases Ensure environmental sustainability

Reduce child mortality

Develop a global partnership for devt

Globalization

To date, progress has been achieved in these goals as follows

Extreme poverty is decreasing in every region of the world.

Over 2 billion people gained sustainable access to safe water sources from 1990 to 2010.

To date, progress has been achieved in these goals as follows (continued) Parity in primary education between boys and girls in developing regions has been reached. Survival of children under 5 years old has increased. Global deaths attributable to malaria have declined Spread of tuberculosis has been halted.

While these gains are substantial, much remains to be done.

Following MDG 8, we need to promote

development partnerships,

which is both a goal in itself and a facilitator toward the achievement of all the other goals.

CLIMATE CHANGE

Continued greenhouse gas emissions at or above current rates would cause further warming and induce many changes in the global climate system during the 21st century that would very likely be larger than those observed during the 20th century.

The severe deterioration of maize crop prospects in the United States following extensive drought damage pushed up maize prices by almost 23% in July (2012).

CRITICAL DOMAINS OF COOPERATION

SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF ASIA

Global cooperation will be crucial in helping developing nations realize their economic potentialand accordingly alleviate the inequalities arising from globalization.

CONCLUSION
The future will be built by a community of nations unified by a shared purpose & bound by mutual trust. The nature & urgency of the challenges facing humanity necessitate nothing less than cooperation whether at the bilateral,
regional, or international levels.

CONCLUSION
Countries do have inherent differences. These can be overcome if we consider that our very survival depends on cooperation. Show that a countrys fate is linked to and intertwined with other countries. What one country can do well alone, nations united in cooperation can do better together.

Congratulations to everyone who has made this conference possible! Thank you very much!
