DEFINITION
The collective personality of a school or school system.(Norton,2005) The recurring patterns of behaviour,attitudes and feelings that characterize life in the organization. A conceptual synthesis of characteristics that distinguish ORGANIZATIONAL organisations from one another which depends on the perception of CLIMATE organisational members and significantly influences their motivation and behaviour.

A system of shared meaning held by members that distinguishes the organization from other organizations.(Robbins,2001) The pattern of knowledge,skills,behaviors,attitudes and beliefs as well as materials artifacts by human society and transmitted from generation to another.(Pai and Adler,2001) provides the reasons for what is happening in terms of shared values and common beliefs held by organisational members ORGANIZATIONAL (Svyantek & Bott 2004) CULTURE A pattern of shared basic assumptions learnt by the organisation for solving problems related to internal integration and external adaptation.(Schein 1992)

Organizational Climate
* Reflects the dominant patterns of behaviour. * Attitudes or mood * provides a state of mind * flexible,easy to change * Based on perception * Feel it when you come in the door * Is all around us * The way we feel around

Organizational Culture

* Refers to shared beliefs *personality of the group * Provides a limited way of thinking * Take many years to evolve * Based on values and beliefs * The way we do things around here
