Hollywood is a district in Los Angeles, California, United States . Due to its fame and cultural identity as the historical center of movie studios and movie stars, the word Hollywood is often used as a metonym of American cinema. Even today industries, such as editing, effects, props, post-production, and lighting companies remain in Hollywood as does the backlot of Paramount Pictures.

The name Hollywood was coined by H. J. Whitley, the "Father of Hollywood. Nestor Studio, Hollywood's first movie studio. 1912. Director D. W. Griffith was the first to make a motion picture in Hollywood. Four major film companies Paramount, Warner Bros., RKO and Columbia were established which are leading filmmakers till date.

Developing and publishing a video game adaptation of a film is part of the operating approach in Hollywood since 1970. This strategy includes the game adapted from a film of the same name and marketed simultaneously with the release of the film in movie theaters.
