Book Review
How fortunate of our new entrepreneurs to have this book to guide them as they embark on a new venture that could well change the course of their lives! When I started Chowking in 1985, all I had was a little money, a mountain of ideas, and a spirit on fire. After reading this book, I wonder how much easier things would have been had I had a how-to-guide like this to help me along. I thank GoNegosyo for the timely publication of this most useful manual. -ROBERT F. KUAN, Founder & Owner CHOWKING Food Corp.

I started my first go negosyo when I was about 18 years old. It was a small cotton candy stand in Fiesta Carnival then. It was just a simple business that I based from what I saw in America. I saw how much they made out of the cotton candy business. I felt it was going to be a big hit if it was also put up in Manila. One of the benefits from traveling is that you get ideas. I remember that my girlfriend then, who eventually became my wife, was with me when I opened my first cotton candy cart. When I saw people lining up and buying cotton candy, it really boosted my confidence. The rest is history. -Joey Concepcion-

All entrepreneurs are managers, but not all managers are entrepreneurs.

takes a lot of money to start a feasible business.

Effective Habits
Knowledge
(what to, why to)

Skills
(how to)

Desire
(want to)

Habits are powerful factors in our lives because they are consistent , often unconscious patterns, they constantly, daily, express our character and produce our effectiveness.or ineffectiveness.

Without the right skills and a lot of hardwork, entrepreneurs can go out of business and lose the money invested in their company. Starting and owning a company can be more rewarding than working for a company, however. Successful entrepreneurs can create prosperous businesses that provide high incomes and feeling of personal accomplishment.

In business we have to embody;

VISION
PASSION ACTION

IF GoNegosyo can indeed be learned, then why are many still unable to venture into business?
The answer-only TWO THINGS. 1. LAZINESS in MIND and/or in action 2. FEAR of FAILURE (Takot): The reason why we rarely want to leave our comfort zone.
