Hand phones have become a major part of our lives. Today, it is being widely used all over the world. It has metamorphosized from being a luxury to necessity for some of us. Hand phones are one of the things that we cannot do without, for one reason or another. And we have come to depend on it. But, we dont realize that there are harmful effects that come along with the usage of hand phones. The hand phone industry would want us to believe that there are no harmful effects of hand phone radiation. However, the facts tell us otherwise. Now there are more than 200 millions hand phone users in America and this number is increasing by the day. This means that there are millions of hand phone users who are unaware of the danger of using this device.

Expensive. Some have poor signal, poor service dependible when we reallly need to use it. For some persons, it can be the chance to lie. They can say that they are at a certain place when in fact they are somewhere else. So, we can never be too sure of where a person might actually be. Prolonged texting and talking can make us have headache from looking at the bright colors on small screen. There are car accidents occuring everywhere due to the lack of attentiveness of the drivers. The Study Found The research team was headed by Dr. George Carlo. More than 200 doctors and researchers were involved in the WTR (Wireless Technology Research) project. Based on the studies, Dr Carlo and the scientists concluded that hand phone radiation was harmful to the user. The studies found that : Radiation from the hand phone can cause DNA damage and impair the DNA repair process. The hand phones interfered with cardiac pacemakers. The radiation from the hand phone increases the risk of brain dysfunction, tumors, cancer, autism, attention deficit disorder and neurodegenerative disease. In children, the hand phone radiation causes behavioral and psychological problems.

It can cause lowers sperm count. These data suggest that EMR (Electromagnetic Radiation) emitted by hand phone influences human sperm motility. A study published in the UK (in April) suggested hand phone use may be as addictive for teenager as smoking. A recent British study reported that phone driving is more dangerous than drunk driving. All forms of hand phone usage lead to significant increases in the establishment of non-response to highway-traffic situations and increase in time to respond. The Transport Research Laboratory found reaction times for those driving on the phone was 30 % slower than those driving drunk and nearly 50 % worse than someone sober and not using a hand phone. The distracting effect of hand phone use among drivers over age 50 is two- to three-times as great as that of younger drivers.

Hand phone harmful for users. It can affect while used prolonged. Main negative effects cause headache, earache, cancer, loss concentration, brain dysfunction, neurological impairment etc.
