– Near CD quality at 28.8 speeds

Streaming media was designed to work in

Nitty Gritty :

Technological challenges inherent in distributing

Internet multimedia involve transporting content
from the broadcast source across great distances
to a location that is as close as possible to the
end-user…who may be using any one of several
“machines” to receive it
In the past two years, sophisticated distribution
networks have faced the challenge using land-
based (terrestrial) and satellite-based networks.

Do you always need a player?

SUPERSTITIALs…technology that is non-streaming, and never

displays blank windows or loads messages while
advertisements stream in. It does not compete with the
loading of Web pages.
Unicast claims it "politely delivers" SUPERSTITIALs by pre-loading
the ad content in the user's browser cache after the website is
fully loaded and the user's mouse is idle.
SUPERSTITIALs play only when they have been loaded completely
