Fact :

Why some people after consuming sea food or dairy product develop allergic symptoms like swelling lip, diarrhea, skin rashes and itching?

Fact :

Why some people develop allergy nose in the


morning and night with symptoms like running nose, sneezing, stuffy nose but recover in the noon?

Fact : Why some people after drinking cold water or consume cold nature food (bitter gourd, bear, etc) develop giddiness, stomach pain, cough in the night , cold limbs and joint pain?

Fact :

Why some people easily get tiredness in the


afternoon or after consumed foods.

Why some people with a lot of sleeping but still not feeling fresh?

Fact : Why some people working under air condition, late sleeping or under pressure, develop dry

mouth, eye dryness, dry throat, dry cough, red


and fissure lip?

Fact : Why some people after taken durian cause body heat, ulcer, sore throat, headache, dry feces and nose bleeding?

Fact : Why some people easily get angry and bad breath, scanty urine, flushed complexion, pimple on the face and back?

Conclusion :
All the cases above are non diseases but will affect the living quality or may develop into diseases in the future, these cases are category into a state named

Subhealthy

condition.

This is an area where TCM introduced to relieve the condition and to prevent it from developing into disease in the future.

teach us how to understand our body condition and correct the bias through daily practices or diet.

What is Body Constitution ?


This theory believes human bodys physical is affected by a persons congenital and postnatal condition. Each human bodys physical will develop into slight difference (bias) compares with each others and can be categorized by the symptoms or appearances. Base on the symptoms grouping, it than given the title : Wind, Cold, Summer-heat, Dampness, Dryness, Fire.

Example: Wind body, Cold body, Summerheat body, Dampness body, Dryness body, Fire body, Wind-Cold body, Cold-Dampness body etc.

The forming of body constitution:


Congenital: Thalassemia,G6PD (avoid broad bean, camphor), Down syndrome,

low lactose tolerance, psoriasis, etc


Postnatal: Eating habit, alcohol, smoking, emotion, working pressure,

injury.
Male, female, young, old, races. Four season.

Living at high altitude(cold), low altitude(dampness), sea


side(ultraviolet), humidity, etc Chronic diseases like high blood pressure, diabetic, uric acid,

high lipid etc.

Choose proper diet according to your Body Constitution

Wind body (Windy body)


Characters: Bloated stomach, giddiness, running nose,

rashes, migration joint pain, afraid of wind,


allergic to seafood; dairy product or yeast.

Unfavorable foods: Orange, Langseh, mango, overnight


dish, sea food(with shell), dairy product, high protein foods. Favorable foods: Cinnamon , nutmeg, fennel, clove, dry Chinese orange skin, spring onion, ginger,

lemon grass, turmeric etc. (mostly spice)

Cold body
Characters: Afraid of cold, cold hand, cold feet, body pain with affected area cold, diarrhea in the dawn, undigested food found in the feces.. Unfavorable foods: Watermelon, ice water, tea, bean curb, coconut water, Chinese cabbage, bitter gourd. Favorable foods: Ginger, turmeric , pepper, sesame oil, mutton, durian, cocoa.

Summer-heat body
Characters: Easily faint under hot sun, profuse sweating,

fatigue and short of breath, interval of chill


and fever, yellow and scanty urine, red lips. flush face, fidgets and thirst. Unfavorable foods: Durian, longan, litchi, deep fry foods, chocolate, high energy foods. Favorable foods: Watermelon, isotonic drinks, coconut water, cold water, salad, bean curb.

Dampness body
Characters: Fatigue, stiff shoulder and neck, sticky and bad smell of sweat; feces; urine; saliva; snivel; sputum; vaginal discharge. Unfavorable foods: Durian, coconut milk, glutinous, duck meat, durian, sweet and oily food. Favorable foods: Barley, Pandan leaves, Chinese spinach, corn silk, Chinese sugar cane.

Dryness body
Characters: Dry mouth and nose, dry in the throat during night

time. Eye driness, rough and chapped


skin, dry hair, scanty urine and constipation. Unfavorable foods: cookie, baked or deep fry foods, chocolate, spices.

Favorable foods: Bird-nest, fresh milk, Chinese white-fungus, Chinese wax gourd, pear, sea coconut, sago, arrowroots, lotus, foods with collagen, (xueha frogs ovary).

Fire body
Characters: Afraid of heat, ulceration and sore with pus, swelling and pain, thirst and bitter in

mouth, sweating, surging in rapid pulse,


scanty and yellow urine, hot temper and flushed complexion. Unfavorable foods: Durian, longan, litchi, BBQ, deep fry foods, chocolate, coffee, high energy foods. Favorable foods: Bitter gourd, coconut water, teh tarik, green tea, chrysanthemum tea, cold water,

Foods favorable to body constitution or diseases

Foods benefit to asthma

Ginkgo seed

Foods benefit to high blood pressure

Food benefit to diabetic

Cinnamon

Foods benefit to high lipid

Asam jawa

2000 years ago, Dr Zhang Zhong Jing (respected as TCM saint) written in his book Synopsis of Golden Chamber: Food is essential to the body health, bad food consumed will cause or worsen disease.. The nature of the foods, some are good for the curing of the disease, some are bad to the human body, if consume the correct way it will help to improve the human body strength, the reverse way will cause disease and endanger the human body.
