1. Stimulating CREATIVITY IN PROBLEM SOLVING. Pupils can explore a new role, try out and experiment with various personal choices and solutions to very real problems-problems from their own life, or problems faced by characters in literature or historical figures. 2. It can CHALLENGE STUDENTS' PERCEPTIONS about their world and about themselves. Dramatic exploration can provide students with an outlet for emotions, thoughts, and dreams that they might not otherwise have means to express.

3. Drama also helps students develop TOLERANCE and EMPATHY. In order to play a role competently, an actor must be able to fully inhabit another's soul. An actor must be able to really understand how the world looks through another person's eyes.

4. Help develop COMMUNICATION SKILLS. Like all the arts, Drama allows students to communicate with and understand others in new ways. Hence, pupils will have a more positive attitude and confident self image. Students in Drama will learn to work together, cooperate and find the best way for each member of a group to contribute for the activities given.

Opportunities to generate communication skills. Able to communicate confidently in everyday life. Able to improve literacy in the English language. Able to use correct vocabulary and simple English language to communicate and explain about everyday life.

Example: Able to talk about neighbors, personal relation, how to take care about oneself and etcetera.

Year : 4 Sederhana Level : Intermediate Theme: World of self Topic : I Love My Family

Procedure: After showing a video clip of My Family to the class, the teacher divides pupils into five groups. Teacher distributes each group an envelope contains pictures. Each groups need to create a simple dialogue based from the pictures given.

After finished creating the dialogue, pupils need to act it out by performing a short play in front of the classroom. Other groups need to explain what the performed group did. Teacher concludes the lesson by instilling moral values.

Year : 5 Cantik Level : Average Theme: World of knowledge Topic : Festivals in Malaysia

Procedure Teacher gives a briefly description on type of festivals in Malaysia such as Hari Raya, Chinese New Year and Deepavali Teacher divides pupils into 3 groups Each group will get one festival ( Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali) Each group will be given 7 minutes to perform the play

After all the group presented, each group have to tell the class their understanding from the others group performance about - the differences between three festivals - how to celebrate
