 We want to continue a great relationship with the Board at Parkside
Village.
 We want to be able to provide our services to all of the homeowners at
Parkside Village.
 We would like to dedicate 2-days a week, 7 months a year to providing
landscape services to the community.

Suggested areas for improvement

Lawn service proposal for Parkside homeowners

We would very much like to be able to provide our services to all of the homeowners living in the single
family homes. In efforts to fill a full day of service once a week at Parkside village, we would like to
offer the homeowners a great price for weekly mowing services. Other services like lawn
fertilization and much more can be incorporated into a package or purchased on a need be basis.

Listed below is a price breakdown of our proposal.

These prices are based on an average lot size of 3,000 sq ft
Mowing ( 5 homeowners required)
$58.00 rate +$15.00 for bagged clippings + $5.00 for front or rear fence
Mowing ( 9 homeowners required)
$42.00 rate +$10.00 bagged clippings + $3.00 for front or rear fence
Mowing (18 homeowners required)
$35.00 rate + $5.00 bagged clippings free for front or rear fence
• All mowing services include trimming & blowing off of hard surfaces

Weed control Good vs. Bad
Most homeowners assume that all weed control chemicals are extremely dangerous.
This is not true. In fact most people that use pesticides improperly are homeowners.
They think that more is better and that something that you buy at lowes says its
safe, really is not.
One thing to consider is that pesticides can be applied to turf in 2 ways. The first
way is by the use of granular pellets. This product is a combination of a selective
herbicide and general turf fertilizer. This product is very safe if applied
properly. This product must be watered in so people that do not have irrigation
should plan this apply this product a few hours before a light rain(not heavy
summer down poor)
Another method of applying pesticides is by the use of water. This method is the
most effective and will provide the best control if applied properly. Liquid
applications are typically the safest because the active ingredient sticks to the
leaf and starts working immediately.
The most common concern about liquid weed control applications
- drift and evaporation
- How long before I can enter the area
- Will my dog track it into the house
- Will it burn my skin if I make direct contact

- What is the active ingredient in organic weed control?

Suggestions for improvements
This area continues to be very difficult to
maintain turfgrass. The main problem is
that the contractor did not remove all of the
rocks & gravel before seeding. Another
cause for this is the surface run off from the
hillside and top of the sidewalk.

Suggestions:
1)install some sustainable plants such as
grasses and Crape-myrtle in front of the
rocks.
2)Install a dry creek or grass swale to direct
surface water.
3)Install 4-5 inches of topsoil and re-seed the
area.
