Wifiber

Prepared By:Bhatt Drashti H.(6th C.E.)

Introduction
WiFiber is a wireless technology

which is used for data transmission between two points. It is used now for high specific data transmission. WiFiber operates in the 71-76, 8186, and 92-95GHz frequencies to avoid interference. It also transmits in a tight beam to avoid overlap. WiFiber technology supports of data rate 2.7 Gbps.

Why Wifiber..?
As Optical Fiber lacks in:

(i) Price (ii)Fragility (iii)Affected by chemicals (iv)Opaqueness (v)Requires special skills

Almost all wireless technologies uses

the data transmission frequency around or lesser than 5 GHz. Hence, there is a huge traffic forms in such a range.

We need a better and advanced

technology which is capable of high data transmission and can be used in high specific delivery conditions.

Contd
It exploits a different part of the

electromagnetic spectrum.
GigaBeam spend less time routing

data, and more time delivering it.

The tight beams of data having

directional nature will rarely, if ever, cross each other's paths, data transmission can flow without interference.

Its Working..
Full duplex & point to point

line of sight. Wireless transmitters that send traditional signals are made of silicon It permits high-speed data rates, where molecules in the atmosphere absorb energy at certain frequencies. It exploits those frequencies that are less susceptible to absorption by air and water molecules.

Application..
WiFiber links provide campus connectivity and fiber optic backbone access. Due to this, it is flexible, fast and safe

WiFiber links with an existing fiber links provides fiber optic backbone diversity and disaster recovery.

Contd..
By alternative access to remote data storage we can ensure that the data transmission is secure, protocol independent, and means have very low time delay.

WiFiber links enable increased date and voice traffic for hard to reach antennas. This increases the data transmission speed, data rate, clarity etc.
