PMO Director

Role:

Leads development of the PMO value proposition. Leads the PMO strategically and is key in gaining organization-wide support PMO charter development and implementation Ensuring all PMO activities are driving bottom-line value Buy-in and involvement of executives Buy-in of all project and resource managers PMO staffing PMO staff retention Approval authority on contracts for project management tools, training and consulting Advises business executives at the highest levels about the project portfolio, status and resource planning for delivering strategic business Initiatives Take ownership and delivery responsibility for special projects and company initiatives PMO annual budget development Provide ongoing reconciliation between long-term goals and short-term actions

Executive oriented; project management professional; has ability to work well with all levels of the organization; should have cross-functional experience with project portfolio management and have a consultative background

Project Portfolio / PMO Manager

Role:

Leads development of the project, resource and strategic objective portfolios Financial and what-if analysis Analyzes the project portfolio and makes recommendations to decision makers; Balances the portfolio; Evaluates and helps to implement processes to improve project flow and faster delivery Publishes the monthly forecast and work plan report to key stakeholders; Manages the development and definition of the prioritization model; Can be the back-up to the PMO Director Often facilitates the steering committee meeting Ability to navigate the minefields of executive sensitivity to report bad news; ability to work well with all levels of the business; portfolio management experience required for project portfolios over SR.10 million

Project Management Mentor

Role:

Supports project rescues Works in the field assisting project teams to gain delivery speed Trains project managers/owners to overcome the major deficiencies Conducts project assessments Reports to the PMO Director Provides coaching & mentoring services to the project management community on top portfolio related components; Works with project sponsors and project managers/owners to identify project delivery opportunities and threats Ability to work well with all levels of the business; consultative in nature and duties; should have a complete grasp of PMI PMBOK fundamentals; ability to work in high stress situations with business partners of the PMO

Project Management Tool Mentor

Role:

Provides technical leadership Coaching and mentoring on all PMO tool utilization, including scheduling software Ensures the integrity of all data captured through the supported PMO/EPM tools Responsible for the competence of all project managers and team members in PMO tools and applications; Helps in project rescues in rescheduling work loads and expertise in the scheduling tool Expert in scheduling tools; quick learner on software tools; ability to work well with all levels of the business; has complete grasp of PMI PMBOK fundamentals; ability to work in high stress situations with project team partners.

Resource Portfolio Manager

Role:

Oversees resource portfolio, including strategic resources; Works with project portfolio manager to balance the portfolios; Seeks to implement resource portability among functional units Creates and maintains staffing plan to support the current and future work demands and project deliverables Full and correct utilization of the organizations strategic resources Tracks resource utilization trends in alignment with portfolio objectives Assists project management community in just-in-time resources Strong negotiation skills; ability to work in high stress situations with project team partners

Role:

Works with project teams in the application of the project management methodology

Responsibilities:

Assesses teams methodology usage for method compliance and associative risk management for all key projects Works with project management mentor to identify and overcome obstacles and resistance
Should have a strong background in PMI-PMBOK concepts and their application in the workplace; ability to teach concepts to work teams; must be able to work with business sponsors and their project teams in project startups

Role:

Customer service Supports the project management community service requests for assistance Answers and tracks field requests for assistance from project management community Ability to work well with all levels of the business; complete grasp of the PMI-PMBOK fundamentals; trained in all PMO standard tools and methodologies; excellent communication skills; ability to translate technical jargon into simple concepts.

Role:

Constructs the monthly forecast and work plan report; Supports all PMO players; Provides primary support for the portfolio manager

Responsibilities:

Ad hoc reporting; PMO data repository processing and integrity; Review of portfolio project status reports and schedules for data completion Proven ICT skills; good knowledge of the PMO tools used for reporting and portfolio analysis; ability to work in high stress situations with project team partners.
