INTERPERSONNEL ASPECTS IN GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE

Inspiring and influencing the thinking, attitudes and

behaviour of people from around the world. Global leadership encompasses the not only leading across the cultures but also influencing people across space and time.

Way of perception and interpretation of world by

managers. Global mindset in terms ofglobalisation and identification with the world.

Global mind set refers to corporate and individual

levels and has geographic and cultural dimension. The geographic dimension has been the main objective of study on corporate level and while culture is prevailing in individual level.

It has been measured by top managers attitude

towards internationalization. At corporate level global mindset refers to how fiem balances organisational processess like global formalisation versus local flexibility,organisation structure like global standardisation versus local customisation and hierarchical power like global dictate versus local delegation. Global mind set can be linked from degree of internationalisation from domestic ,multi domestic ,regional and to global.

A person with a global mind set described as a

cosmopolitan with border view when dealing with international business activities with personal space perspective beyond other people and culture.

It can be classified into dimensions like Societal Factors Business factors Organisational Factors Cultural Factors

Here the global leaders work in various countries

and have to cope up with various political,economic and social environment. They have to broad interest and uderstanding on what going on the world ,differences and commonalities between various countries regarding economic political and legal topic civilisation and ational cultures.

They have to constantly aware on shift in global

arena and comfortable with changes and ambiguity. They have to operate both in local and global market .

It include the following: Global pressure (presence of multinational customers and competitors ,investment intensity and cost control) Presence of local responsiveness (difference in customer needs, market structure, position of subsidiaries and host government demands) They have a positive attitude towards the global market and lead the company to new business abroad.

It refers to balancing structure,procesess and power

over global and local entities of multi national company .

A global leader have to adopt different leadership

styles inorder to effectively influence people with other cultural back ground.

It provides opportunity to cope with time zone and

geographic distance. It also means to broaden ones cognitive map and perspective on globalisation process

It means that one knows how to act in

concurrance with foreign customs and how to build relationship with people from different cultural backgrounds.

Collectivism versus individualism Masculinity versus feminity

It is not a lecture type style.

It is the combination of personnel experience

with knowledge. It is related to personnel experience and emotion.

The first stage is awareness.

Second stage is knowledge.


Third one is understanding Fourth stage he/she becomes an 100%assimilation

that neglects the strength of his own culture.

CONCLUSION
Culture is the collective programming of the mind.
The more our learning's will be able to take up the

responsibility.
