Regardless of the industry, all small businesses have something in common; they strive to be innovative while keeping their balance sheet in check. Rocking T Inc. is a freight trucking company with offices in several different states that began looking for ways to decrease one of their major expenses long distance phone charges. Because most of their locations had broadband Internet access, Rocking T explored a VoIP solution as the most innovative and cost effective way to significantly reduce their long distance expenses. One major criteria for choosing a VoIP system was that it needed to be easy to configure and maintain After looking at several products we decided to use the Quadro from Epygi, says Raymond Brady, RockingTs IT Manger. We liked the VPN and firewall features that these units had built right into the box, especially since using a VOIP with some routers can be difficult. The freedom to call a co-worker without concern for distance or expense enables greater communication within a business. The Quadro system brilliantly facilitates communication combined with ease of use. Because the application was designed with SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) and teleworkers in mind, it is a plug and play device that is quick and easy to install. Our installation went very smoothly, Brady says. I had the first box up and going and made a test VOIP call in about an hour. This would have been much faster but we were replacing an existing firewall. Later we setup a VPN connection between our two offices and this was very easy to configure with the Quadro interface. I have configured VPN connections before and I was very pleased with how easy the process was.

The Requirements: Long Distance Cost Reduction

Quick Installation

Rocking T selected Epygi because they were searching for a VoIP solution that was immediately cost effective and would save them substantial amounts of money over time. Many VoIP solutions require the customer to purchase expensive phones that need to be upgraded when the system becomes outdated. The Quadro product line offers a range of affordable products that allow the user to make free, or virtually free calls and it plugs directly into your existing analogue or VoIP phone. We setup our second Quadro in another office the following week {after the first installation} and we were making FREE VOIP calls between our two offices in no time at all, says Brady.
