Introduction To 2D Gaming

2D gaming was first introduced in the 1970s. Due to technical limitations, platform games were single perspective, normally viewed from top or side. The first successful 2D computer game was Pong for the Atari, created in 1972 by Atari. Pong is a first generation video game. First generation was between 1972 and 1977, we are now in the eighth generation. 2d gaming began to get famous in the fourth generation.

2D GAMES
Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Super Mario World 2 Yoshi's Island Super Metroid and Donkey Kong Country.

Introduction to 3D Gaming
the release of new hardware caused players' attention to gradually shift away from traditional 2D genres. 3d gaming began in the fifth generation. Between 1993 to 2006. The term 3D Platform usually refers to games that feature game play in three dimensions and polygonal 3D graphics. To create this, 2d graphics and an isometric perspective were used.

3D GAMES

The first proper 3d game was virtual boy by Nintendo. Due to less sales of it Nintendo introduced the Nintendo 64. Some other games which were developed were super Mario, Golden Eye 007, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time or Virtual Fighter.

From 1987 to 1996


16-bit Era The fourth generation of games consoles began on October 30, 1987 with the Japanese release of the PC Engine known as the TurboGrafx-16 in North America..

32-bit Era The fifth-generation, also known as the 32 bit era refers to the computer and video games, video game consoles, and video game handhelds available at stores.

16-bit system

32-bit system was introduced. The PlayStation was the first games console ever to sell over 100 million units.

Different technological equipments are introduced. Different categories of gaming have evolved.

Future of this industry is resourceful.
