Poisoning

by bacteria in intestines Acute tummy pain, drooling, breeding problems, vomiting, diahorrea Ensure that all food is cooked and reduce use of unnecessary antibiotics
Ringworm
Mainly
dogs and cats Crusty lesions, alopecia and redness of the skin Treat with antifungal cream
Vaccination
A vaccine is a harmless version of a pathogen Gives immunity to injected animal from disease Generally given in 2 injections followed by boosters Important to maintain records
Injured Animals
An injured animal is in pain and is fearful Approach slowly Avoid eye contact Be aware of warning signs (bared teeth) Be prepared for sudden movement Use muzzle May need to be sedated Know your escape routes
