INTRODUCTION.
Environment can be defined as the external factors, living and non-living, material and non-material which surround man. It can be grouped into 3 components: Physical environment: these are the non living part of the environment i.e. water, air, housing, rainfall, humidity, temperature e.t.c Biological environment: these include living component of the environment i.e. plants and animals.
Social environment;these include the customs, culture, habits, income and occupation.

CONCLUSIONS Although most house-holds have access to good supply of water, other environmental conditions such as refuse and sewage disposal systems are not satisfactory. This shows that people of Dawakin Kudu need to improve on their environmental sanitation.
