Subject Matter: Subject of whole numbers from regrouping

Objectives

: At the end of the

interactive discussion, the pupils are expected to:

Identify the process in Subtracting 2 to 3 digits from 3 to 4 digit number with regrouping.

Show cooperation.

Subtract 2 to 3 digit numbers from 3 to 4 digit numbers.

Content

Introduction

Microteaching uses the videotape recorder and other

visual aids as an approach to effective teaching skills. Microteaching sessions have shown tangible result to have positively contributed to the professional growth and improved teaching performance of a pre service teacher/student teacher. Further, microteaching is an application of being a child friendly teacher. This includes addressing student diversity, gender sensitivity through display of non-discriminating traits and rapport.

Microteaching

offers prospective teacher the opportunity to learn teaching skills, to study own teaching and to study the teaching of others. Microteaching gas been described as a scaled-down teaching situation. Microteaching is composed of three kinds, namely: tutorial, remedial and enhancement. Through microteaching program the questioning skills including fluency in asking probing, higher order and divergent questions are develop skills aimed at increasing individual student participation, creating student involvement through set induction, stimulus variation, and closure, all of which help to provide a meaningful organization to the lesson are also develop. As well as lesson presentation skills and methodologies among the student teacher are developed.

Remedial is intended as a remedy. It is concerned with

the correction of faulty study habits and the raising of a pupils general competence<remedial reading courses>; also receiving or requiring remedial instruction <remedial students>.

Definition of Terms

Subtract

- to remove (a part of a thing) from the

whole. Digit - one of several most distal part of a limb. An ancient Numbers - it is a mathematical object used in counting and measurement unit Group - it is an algebraic structure consisting of a set through operation.

tens, the hundreds and the thousands. Regroup if it is necessary.
