Main Idea

Control Theory discusses the processes of internal behavioural psychology and physiology related to human needs. He then convert to Choice Theory as he finds this theory difficult to be accepted.

TEACHING QUALITY

Teacher can improve the quality of teaching by: a) Provide conducive classroom environment - Discuss the needs of the pupils - To discuss the misbehaviour as well as to enforcing rules - Create a sense of belongings atmosphere in classroom.

b) Teacher act as a facilitator not a manager - Encourage the pupils to try to hold the responsibilities. - Avoid forcing the pupils and simply gives orders to them

c) TL activities must be related to the pupils real life - relate the topics with the pupils experience (schemata) - give meaningful learning - pupils learn better when it is connected to their life experiences.

d) Encourage the pupils to give their best - help and guide the pupils to give their full effort to achieve the aims - although it take some times, the teacher must be patient to help the pupils

e) Giving pupils the opportunities to improve their works. - always do task-reflection on works done - e.g: after finishing task, ask pupils to judge and assess their own works. - provide them space to think and do some improvement for the better - as a result, they will produce a good quality of works.

A teacher who is guiding and understand how to motivate students will: 1) Give attention and interest of the students. 2) Prepare a fun-filled teaching activities 3) Build a desired standard of behaviour in classroom

4) Discuss with students the consequences that should be given when the break the behaviour agreement 5) Provide the pupils time out to control their feelings or a private space to calm themselves 6) Not blame other parties and wasting time searching for others mistakes
