CDD
Cell Design Data includes all the parameter needs to design a cell in a BSC (Base station controller)as well as in MSC(Mobile switching center). This data is loaded in the corresponding BSC by means of a Data Transcript file. A selection of MSC parameters are also included in order to present a more complete picture of the parameters that influence the design of a radio network.

CDD parameter is valid for MSC - The parameter is valid for all cells in the MSC. BSC - The parameter is valid for all cells in the BSC. BSC EXCHANGE PROPERTY - The exchange properties are changed by means of a special command, but they are essentially the same as regular parameters. CELL - The parameter is valid for both UL and OL subcell, if there is a subcell structure defined. CELL/SUBCELL - The parameter may be defined individually for UL and OL subcells, in case there is a subcell structure defined. Otherwise, they are defined per cell. NEIGHBOUR CELL - The parameter need to be defined for internal neighbour cells.
The parameter is initiated/affected/printed by this/these MML commands. Different types of commands: xxxxI: Initiate. xxxxC: Change. xxxxE: End. xxxxP: Print.

NEW SITE CREATION USING CDD 1.INTRODUCTION

CDD is attached in CR which contains complete RF data of particular site. DT is prepared by running Macro given in CDD and site is defined simply running this DT in concerned BSC and MSC. 2.IMPACT FACTOR ON OPERATION Non service affecting 3. TOOLS REQUIRED A)WINFIOL or COMMAND HANDLING B)CNA 4.PRE-ACTIVITY CHECKLIST Verify the DT in cell sheet is as per data given in RF DATA ENTRY sheet and Check LAT/LONG mentioned are in correct format (DD MM SS). 5.METHOD/PROCEDURE

1.Open the CHA and connect the desired BSC in which site has to be created. 2.Now run following commands to check that cells are already defined or not Rldep:cell=cellname; Rxtcp:moty=rxotg, cell=cellname; 3. a)If defined then check MSC definitions and Neighbours and Lat/long b)If Not go to step 2.

4.Find a Free TG in the BSC. RXTCP:MOTY=RXOTG; RXMOP:MO=RXOTG-0&&512; 5.Once the free TG is found open the RF sheet attached in the CR and enable Macros.

6.Enter the free TG value in the box given on the sheet in SWITCH DATA ENTRY. 7.Enter the TEI value and corresponding RBS software in boxes given on the sheet next to TG value box in SWITCH DATA ENTRY. 8.Write down the TRX TEI values in the corresponding cell. 9. Check other parameters like:AHOP=ON

10.Now click on SAVE AS and then CREATE DT in SWITCH DATA ENTRY 11.Go to CELL page.

12.Copy the DT from the CELL page. Sample DT is shown below:

Dt.txt

13.Paste the DT in WINFIOL and run in BSC & corresponding MSC. 14.To find out the MSC run the following command: RLTDP:MSC=ALL; in the BSC. Or you can check in the CAN. 15.Check for the failed commands. 16.Once the DT is completed open CAN.

17.In CNA click on the desired BSC.

18.Go to the file-new job-Adjustment 19.Name the job and run the job.

20. After adjustment run, make a planned area for neighbour creation. 21.Give any name to planned area.

22.Select the BSC & press ctrl+I & select the cells which u have defined. 23.Go to view + sites or press ctrl+S & select your site & double click on it.

24.Now fill HEIGHT,LATTITUDE,LONGITUDE & press enter after each entry from the sheet. Click on apply& then OK. Press crtl+I again.

25.Then go to edit+new+neighbour relation.

26.Now paste the neighboring cell in neighboring cell column & press enter. C N A will automatically select all parameters & then press new. 27.Do this process for each cell to be defined as neighboring cell.

28.Now select planned area. 29.Go to File + New Job + Update Job & give the name of the JOB.

30.Click on Continue & then OK. 31.Open your Main job & sub jobs. 32. Check for failed commands if any and rectify them.

33.Dip attachment and loading will be done further on the request of the circle team on call. 34.Dip attachment: DTSTP:DIP=DIPNAME;(To check the dip status) DTDIP:DIP=DIPNAME;(to check the ETM port and dip position) DTQUP:DIP=DIPNAME;(to check the dip quality) NTCOP:SNT=ETM2-0;(to check the dip & devices details in that ETM) EXDAI:DEV=DEVICES; BLODE:DEV=DEVICES;(DEBLOCK THE DEVICES) RXAPI:MO=RXOTG-TGVALUE,DCP=1&&31,DEV=DEVICES+1;(to attach dip on port A of BTS,for port C DCP=287&&317) 35.Once the dip is attached deblock the TG & CF by following commands. RXESI:MO=RXOTG-TGVALUE; RXBLE:MO=RXOTG-TGVALUE; RXESI:MO=RXOCF-TGVALUE; RXBLE:MO=RXOCF-TGVALUE; 36.When the CF of the TG came operational then give the loading to whole TG.
