WHAT IS IT ?
Nanomedicine, an offshoot of nanotechnology, refers to highly specific medical intervention at the molecular scale for curing disease or repairing damaged tissues, such as bone, muscle, or nerve. Nanomedicine may be defined as the monitoring, repair, construction and control of human biological systems at the molecular level, using engineered nanodevices and nanostructures.

Health Issues
Some nanoparticles are so small, they can slip past the immune system or directly into the brain, bypassing the selective blood-brain barrier. Makes nanoparticles useful for delivering much-needed drugs But they might also deliver toxins.

NANOMEDICAL TRENDS
Smaller than the head of a pin, surgical nanorobots will operate from within the human body Nano-biology will prolong life, prevent illness, and improve peoples health

NANOROBOT
The typical medical nanodevice will probably be a micron-scale robot assembled from nanoscale parts. Carbon will likely be the principal element comprising the bulk of a medical nanorobot, probably in the form of diamond. Many other light elements such as hydrogen, sulfur, oxygen, nitrogen, fluorine, silicon, etc. will be used for special purposes in nanoscale gears and other components. Some nanodevices will be able to exfuse themselves from the body via the usual human excretory channels; others will be designed to allow ready exfusion by medical personnel. Power:-Nanodevice could metabolize local glucose and oxygen for energy or can use externally supplied acoustic power.

Nanolasers

Nanoinjectors

Can Nanomedicine play GOD ???

If current medical technology can't keep us alive we can instead choose to be preserved in liquid nitrogen, with the expectation that future medical technology should be able to both reverse any cryopreservation injury and restore good health.

The Promise
Promises to be a new Medical Revolution. Nano medicine will eliminate virtually all common diseases of the 20th century, virtually all medical pain and suffering, and allow the extension of human capabilities & most especially our mental abilities. Full-Safe Design.
