The pharmaceuticals industry develops, and produces medical remedies that improves the health of humans and betters the lives of people worldwide. Although many pills are meant to treat pain, weight gain, and other specific problems, all of these pills will have an affected on your heart.

A Quick Incite to the History of Drugs

The pharmacy profession can be traced back at least as far as the Sumerian population. From around 4000 BC, they used medicinal plants such as liquorice, mustard, myrrh, and opium. The Ancient Egyptians had specific preparers of medicine, known as pastophor. Pharmacy was viewed as a high status branch of medicine, and again, like the Sumerians, these pharmacists were also priests who worked and practiced in the temples.

The Compete Downside of Pharmaceuticals

There are certainly times when a drug is needed to save a person's life and we can be thankful that some drugs exist that can do that, but drug companies have pushed the market to become a warzone and created a monster that is like a large freight train heading full speed for the terminal. Drug companies have NOT cured a single disease in the 200 years of their existence. Antibiotics are the closest thing to a cure, but in reality the immune system is stimulated by antibiotics and in many cases antibiotics have caused more complications for the body than they have solved. Many countries have reduced their use of antibiotics and drugs and they have solved the MRSA problem that is increasing in other parts of the world. Antibiotics kill the intestinal flora and cause all kinds of secondary problems, but in a life threatening situation, antibiotics can save a life.

Money Doesnt Talk It Screams!

wonderful things, they are in it to make a profit for themselves and their shareholders. Money is always the bottom line! The drugs are just a way to get there. Time was once, nothing was ever put on the bottle given the patient. "Take one three time a day was all a patient was told. Then the rules changed. Not only did a patient have the right to know what he or she was taking, but what the side effects were. And so, to continue to make money, particularly with a drug a company had to spend a awfully long time developing, they have very often been caught in lies. Vioxx was one. Those cases of drug acquired heart disease are in the courts now. And docs are given kickbacks for ever script they write for a new drug that comes out. Vioxx, for example was $5 per capsule/tablet, scripted twice a day. The doc got $5. for every script he/she wrote. Plavix is a drug still on the market, for lowering cholesterol. Except that aspirin does just the same job, for way less money, AND will not cause big time problems. In both these cases, the company was fully aware, that these drugs cause severe problems when tested in dogs. They hid the results. And kickbacks to docs are still legal, albeit "for services rendered.
