THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM

Genesis 12:1-4 NOW [in Haram] the Lord said to Abram, Go for yourself [for your own advantage] away from your country, from your relatives and for your fathers house, to the land that I will show you. And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others].

And I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you; in you will all the families and kindred of the earth be blessed [and by you they will bless them selves]. So Abram departed, as the Lord directed him; and Lot [his nephew] went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran. (AMP)

Galatians 3:13-14 Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming curse for us, for it is written [in the scripture], Curse is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified); To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, the blessing (promised) to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive (the realization of) the promise of the [Holy] Spirit (AMP)

What was the call of Abraham? Get out of your country Genesis 12:1 NOW [in Haran] the Lord said to Abraham, Go for yourself [for your own advantage]away from your country, from your relatives and your fathers house, to the land that I will show you (AMP) In essence God was saying get out of the identity of your place and clan

WHAT IS THE CURSE OF THE LAW?

Galatians 3:10 And all who depend on the Law [who are seeking to be justified by obedience to the Law of rituals] are under a curse and doomed to disappoint and destruction, for it is written in the Scripture, Cursed (accursed, devoted to destruction, doomed to eternal punishment)

be everyone who dies not continue to abide (live and remain) by all the precepts and commands written in the Book of the Law and to practice them. (AMP) It is the failure to continue in all things which are written in the Book of the Law, to do them.

Deuteronomy 28:15-68
These are the list of curses for failure to continually obey the Law.

Christ

has redeemed us from the curse of the Law. How? a. By fulfilling every requirement of the Law. b. By taking every curse that was due to us on the cross.

Hebrews 9:11-12 But [that appointment time came] when Christ (the Messiah) appeared as a High Priest of the better things that have come and are to come. [Then] through the greater and more perfect tabernacle no made with [human] hands, that is, not a part of this material creation,

He went once for all into the [Holy of] Holies [of heaven] not by virtue of the blood of goats and calves [by which to make reconciliation between God and man], but His own blood, having found and secured and complete redemption (an everlasting release for us). (AMP)

Genesis 8:4 On the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat [in Armenia]. (AMP) Ararat in Hebrew means curse is removed. The Ark was a type of Christ, through Christ finished work on the cross you now stand on a no curse ground

WHAT IS THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM? The blessing of Abraham was an empowerment to be rich, healthy, fruitful, and have long life. Dont be confused with the root and the fruit. The root is the blessing; the fruit are the blessings.

Deuteronomy 8:18 But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. (AMP)

Proverbs 10:22 The blessings of the Lordit makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it]. (AMP) THIS BLESSING WAS SO POWERFUL BECAUSE IT WAS BASE ON A COVENANT A covenant is an irrevocable and unbreakable pledge or agreement.

Genesis 15:18 On the same day the Lord made a covenant (promise, pledge) with Abraham, saying, To your descendant I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphratesthe land of (AMP)

Genesis 17:1-7 WHEN ABRAHAM was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, I am the Almighty God; walk and live habitually before Me and be perfect (blameless, wholehearted, complete). And I will make my covenant (solemn pledge) is with you, and you shall be the father of many nations.

Nor shall your name any longer be Abraham [high, exalted father]; but your name shall be Abraham [father of multitude], for I have made you the father of many nations. And I will make you exceedingly fruitful and I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.

And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting, solemn pledge, to be a God to you and to your posterity after you. (AMP) Covenant is Gods way of making His promises guaranteed and fulfilled.

Numbers 23:39 God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good? (AMP)

Hebrew 6:13-14 For when God made [His]promise to Abraham, He swore by Himself, since He had no one greater by whom to swear, Saying, Blessing I certainly will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you. (AMP)

Hebrew 6:17-18 Accordingly God also, in His desire to show more convincing and beyond doubt to those who were to inherit the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose and plan, intervened (mediated) with an oath.

This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us]. (AMP)

Psalm 89:34 My covenant will I not break or profane, nor alter the thing that is gone out of My lips. Psalm 105:8 He is [earnestly] mindful of His covenant and forever it is imprinted on His heart, the word which He commanded and established to t thousand generations, (AMP) He remembers it forever!

THE BLESSING CANNOT BE STOPPED Abraham and Lot Genesis 13:1-6 SO ABRAHAM went up out of Egypt, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the South [country of Judah, the Negeb].

Now Abraham was extremely rich in livestock and in silver and in gold. And he journeyed on from the South [country of Judah, the Negeb] as far as Bethel, to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai, where he had built an altar at first;and there Abraham called on the name of the Lord. But Lot, who went with Abraham, also had flocks and herds and tents.

Now the land was not able to nourish and support them so they could dwell together, for their possessions were too great for them to live together. (AMP) Isaac Genesis 26:1-4 AND THERE was a famine in the land, other than the former famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Gerar, to Abimelech king of the Philistines. And the Lord appeared to him and said, Do not go down to Egypt;

Live in the land of which I will tell you. Dwell temporarily in this land, and I will be with you and will favor you with blessings; for to you and to your descendants I will give all these lannds, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. And I will make your descendants to multiply as the stars of the heavens, and will give to your posterity all these lands (kingdoms); and by your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, or by Him bless themselves, (AMP)

Genesis 26:12-13 Then Isaac sowed seed in that land and received in the same year a hundred times as much as he had planted, and the Lord favored him with blessings. And the man became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and distinguished; (AMP)

Jacob Genesis 28:3-4 May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and multiply you until you become a group of peoples. May He give the blessing [He gave to] Abraham to you and your descendants with you, that you may inherit the land He gave to Abraham, in which you are a sojourner. (AMP)

Genesis 30:43 Thus the man increased and became exceedingly rich, and had many sheep and goats, and maidservants, camels, and donkeys. (AMP)

Joseph Genesis 39:1-5 AND JOSEPH was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the captain and chief executioner of the [royal] guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there. But the Lord was with Joseph, and he [though a slave] was a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did to flourish and succeed in his hand. So Joseph pleased [Potiphar] and found favor in his sight, and he served him. And [his master] made him supervisor over his house and he put all that he had in his charge. From the time that he made him supervisor in his house and over all that he had, the Lord blessed the Egyptians house for Josephs sake; and the Lords blessing was on all that he had in the house and in the field. (AMP)
