2. Governance
Getting anything through in the Parliament has become quite difficult as the opposition for its own political end wants to disrupt Parliament. The need for consensus between government and opposition. Stable tenure for governments.

3. Engaging China
Border issues Geopolitical issues China Pakistan relationship Tibet issues Indias increasing economic growth Indian neutrality vis a vis the China/USA relationship

4. Boosting Human Development Indicators

Absorb the demographic dividend Tackle malnutrition especially for children Preventing gender discrimination Use foreign aid

5. Improving-MGNREGS
Scheme has been criticized for
Corruption Delayed payments Poor quality of public works completed Not providing as much employment .

Proposed Improvements:
Adequate asset creation is also important because right now what is given is aid. Money transfer through UID MGNREGS 2.0

6. Guaranteeing the Right To Education

Reduce social stratification and provide education to EBC students.

7. Protecting Freedom of Speech Online

Indians freedom of expression online came under attack by the authorities. Blocking of 309 web pages, some Facebook groups, and Twitter streams Censorship has also extended to unlawful requests from government officials to Google to remove defamatory material.

8. Toeing the Line (of Control)

A problem of national and democratic integration continues to exist in J&K.
It necessitates a policy of genuine and sustained political engagement with the alienated sections of Jammu & Kashmirs population.

Reaction of Pakistan govt. on Indian involvement.

9. Crime Against Women

Need to be curbed with an iron hand. Need a reappraisal of the entire system, the adequacy of our laws, the effectiveness of enforcement at the cutting edge level, Increased awareness and sensitivity starting at the school level and conveying all people residing at the margins of our society. Prompt actions against all the offenders of crime will alone bring about respect of law.
