Food additives are added directly into food to - preserve - flavour - blend - thicken - color it - increase the nutritional value of food

Seasonal foods - The foods cannot be finish eating all - We must store food
Food has to be transported from farms to shops & markets. - must be preserved so it will not spoil during transportation. we have to process food using food additives so that we can enjoy safe, nutritious and tasty food all the year around.

Are chemicals (natural or synthetics) Chemicals that are used as medicines are called drugs. Two types of medicine : 1) Traditional medicine 2) Modern medicine

TRADITIONAL MEDICINE

Are he medicine that are obtained from plants & animals.

Traditional medicine are used to cure diseases, maintain good health and consumed as nutritious food.

Parts of plants that are used as medicine or ingredients for medicine are : leaves, flowers, roots, stems, seeds, bark, fruits, thorns and sap. Most traditional medicine are prepared by boiling, then drunk or plant parts are crushed or mashed to make paste (used for rubbing or massaging the affected part of body.
