Decision may be defined as a choice made from available resources or as selection of course of action from among the alternatives. Decision making process is a set of eight steps that includes identifying a problem, selecting an alternative and the decision s effectiveness.

Problem is a discrepancy between an existing and a desired state of affairs.

A decision is a course of action which is consciously chosen

for achieving a desired result.
