Liquefied Gases- are gases at normal temperature and pressure that are compressed to a liquid state and usually stored under their own vapor pressure at the prevailing ambient temperature. Hazardous Gasesare gases that have a potential for injury to life, limb or property at relatively low concentrations. Some common gases used in water and waste treatment plants are Chlorine or Cl2, Sulfur Dioxide or SO2 and Ammonia or NH3.
