Gambaran Sistem Logistik di Indonesia

Harga satu sak semen di bagian tertentu di Papua lebih mahal dibandingkan dengan harga di Jawa. Jeruk dari China lebih murah dibandingkan jeruk dari Pontianak Kalimantan. Produk-produk berkualitas tinggi dengan potensi yang besar seperti udang dari Indonesia Timur tidak dapat diproses secara komersil di Jawa dan komoditaskomoditas seperti Nanas di kalengkan di luar negeri karena lebih murah. Sebuah truk yang mengangkut barang pulang pergi dari Bandung ke Jakarta bisa menghabiskan sampai 75% waktunya di parkiran karena proses bea cukai, pergudangan yang tertunda, dan antrian bongkar muat barang.
